The United States Postal Service location at 316 Market St is a limited service post office with historical decor styled to the 18th century. The outside is beautiful and well preserved. It functions as a solid place to deliver mail and buy stamps, and visitors can have postcards hand-stamped with a special Thomas Jefferson signature stamp canceller and postmarked from this location. However, it does not appear to function like a normal, full-service post office and may not have complete amenities. It has questionable hours and may not always have stamps available, requiring a visit elsewhere. Staff attitudes can vary, but positive interactions are possible. It is a nice place for visitors to mail postcards, but locals may need to look elsewhere for all postal needs.

Always closed when it’s supposed to be open. Staff doesn’t help at all when/if it’s open!
