Got to this post office 10 minutes before the listed close time just to dropOff prepaid packages. The staff already locked the doors of the post office and stared at us shaking their head that they would not let us in. If I could give this a zero star I would.

TLDR: No passport photos here, no walk-in applications, otherwise friendly staff. On the plus side, employees here are Much nicer than at other USPS locations and I usually have more success getting things done here (B Franklin, Continental, and Penns Landing are effectively decorative.) For most things, this will be the most reliable Post Office in the area.On the day I went in, I arrived with plenty of time during their “walk-in” hours for passports with my documents fully prepared and photos printed. They told another customer their camera wasn’t working and they told me they aren’t taking walk-ins (even during designated hours,) because they’re understaffed. The next appointment available is about two weeks out.

I waited 2 months for a 2:30 pm appointment to renew my passport. When I arrived the post office employee told me their photo equipment was broken. I was sent to CVS to get the passport photo. When I returned to the post office at 2:45 pm, I waited 30 minutes, because the passport employee was on their lunch break and never returned. I called the phone number I was given as a contact, called 7x and no one answered. After a hour, I left the post office with no passport renewal, despite scheduling the appointment 2 months prior.

I have never had a good experience at this post office. It's the one closest to me, but I will never be returning. Not only have I been treated rudely, but on my most recent visit, the staff lied to me and would not take my package. They said they were unable to accept packages unless the shipping label read the exact day, rather than a few days in the future. This made no sense to me, so I took my box to a secondary post office where it was scanned in without any problem.

Kindly consider selecting an alternative location to avoid an unpleasant encounter. While I don't typically leave reviews, the employee I encountered, and seemingly others, seems to be grappling with personal issues, treating strangers with excessive anger and speaking in a demeaning manner. The line inside was frustratingly long and slow-moving. Despite having a pre-labeled package and utilizing the Self-Serve Kiosk instead, the transaction wasn't smooth. There was no designated area to securely place my package after receiving the receipt. After discussing this with the impolite staff, she expected me to return to the line just to leave the package on the floor outside the desk. If my package isn't properly handled, accountability should fall on her.Numerous individuals have shared similar experiences, and I hope USPS promptly addresses the issues at this location. It's perplexing why someone would choose a customer service job with such animosity towards people. While I don't expect employees to be overly friendly, this situation goes beyond the usual indifference. Consider seeking services elsewhere to spare yourself the frustration.

The Arch Street branchi in Philadelphia is the worse. The older woman who works there is rude and not helpful. Their customer service is terrible. A regional supervisor needs to give some professional development on positive customer relations.

Came here twice today, once in the morning and again in the after noon, both times no one was working behind the counter. Another employee helping someone in the passport office yelled to the back “you got customers“ and still stood in line for over 15 minutes before someone came to the counter. In the meantime the line continued to populate.

Hey guys, if you're ever having any issues, Mrs./Miss Carmen White is the person to ask for. She was extremely persistent and consistent with assisting me of an issue I was having with my little brother's passport application. She is an angel sent. Thank you Carmen ?

Don’t use the self service kiosk if you’re buying stamps.I just needed stamps today, so I used their Kiosk since they have a bunch of signs in the post office encouraging people to use it. I bought 50 postcard stamps and 15 global stamps. The kiosk doesn’t actually sell you stamps, they sell you a sticker print out with a QR looking code/label on it. Does it work the same as a stamp, my guess is yes. But the USPS knows people care about how stamps look, that’s why they sell a 100 different varieties of stamps. The print out for the postcard stamp is twice the size of a normal postcard stamp, which is just too big. The signs and machine shouldn’t advertise that your buying stamps when your not. It also took like 7 minutes for it all to print out, which isn’t efficient. I went to the desk after it all finished printing to see if I could turn them in and get actual stamps and was told “I don’t know what to tell you. We can only do something if it doesn’t print anything.”

I tried to drop a pre-labeled return at this location. I wanted a receipt for proof, but...The clerk put said package on the scale and rejected it, due to being 2lbs, and the postage only covers 1lb 6oz.I explained that this is the original packaging and the label provided by the retailer. Nope. Sorry, no help or willingness to check the scale.I figured maybe my label was the issue so I called them and explained what happened. Never heard such a thing. This was one pair of pants in a cardboard sleeve. No way it was 2#.Sure enough, I tried it on two other scales...1lb 1oz.The error was clearly the scale/clerk. She had the opportunity to recheck the transaction, but decided to inconvenience the customer instead.

I was initially nervous to go to this location as there was a lot of poor reviews. I was applying for a new passport and had to make my appointment a month in advanced. I got there a few minutes early and was called up as soon as my appointment time slot hit. The process was very simple and did not go over time at all. Just make sure you have all your documents ready. They were able to do a photo on-site for me and use a money order for the money collection as well. Great experience and friendly staff.
