I went to this branch to open a new account. I booked an appointment and went to the branch on time. I was a little afraid at 1st because after seeing the reviews of 3/5 on Google I thought that my goal may not be achieved on the same day but to my surprise everything went very smoothly and I was able to open my bank account on the same day. The tellers and bankers were extremely helpful.

Staff sits behind the window but is unavailable while letting customers wait 1 hour. I lost my patience and urged them then 2 staffs came out immediately with laughter. What a Bank!

This is my first and last time coming to this branch. My experience here was really bad. I came here because I had an appointment regarding my mother's estate. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment and sat in the waiting area. From what I could see, there were only 2 people that I could meet with, and they both were already occupied with clients. I waited an additional 20 minutes past the appointment time and saw that no one was available to meet with me yet.Growing impatient, I went up to the front desk and to see if I could get help from one of the tellers. I was eventually told by someone who I am assuming is the manager that the person who I was supposed to meet with was unaware that they had an appointment scheduled with me, and that they will meet with me as soon as they're finished with their current client. I waited a few more minutes and then decided to leave because I couldn’t bother to wait anymore. Ultimately, it just felt like a slap in the face. What makes matters worse is during my wait, the only person who acknowledged me was the security guard. Handling estate affairs can take a toll on a person, and I really didn't appreciate the disrespect.

I've had consistently unpleasant experiences every time I've visited this branch! The bankers never provided me with precise and complete information or explanations about procedures. Almost every time, I visited this branch in person and seemingly completed my task, a few months later, I found myself returning to resolve a new issue that they failed to explain thoroughly initially.Their standard response is to refer me to the phone and escalate the matter in their computer system. Typically, it takes several days for Wells Fargo's customer service, which is knowledgeable, cooperative, and professional, to finally address my concerns. Frankly, it's the only reason I continue to use Wells Fargo; the overall professionalism of the bank gives me some assurance that this branch is an exception.Coincidentally, I visited another bank right after my recent visit today, without an appointment. The banker there spent nearly an hour providing professional assistance with my banking needs. It's worth noting that this other bank is located right across the street from this branch!I'm left feeling very disappointed.

I don't typically leave reviews, but I felt compelled to leave this review due to a consistent and replicable pattern of remarkable experiences that I have had at this Wells Fargo location over the past several months. This branch has truly astounded me with the reproducibility of its subpar customer service and stubborn inability (or perhaps it's resistance?) to improve. If I were inclined towards nostalgia, at this point I may well savor the familiar feeling of dread and despair that conducting business at this branch evokes within me... if it weren't for the fact that almost every moment spent at this location fills me with simultaneous self-loathing and frustration directed at every single decision that we, as a species, have taken towards a world where it is considered neither cruel nor unusual for this particular Wells Fargo branch to exist. To briefly summarize a few among the litany of poor experiences that I have had at this branch:1. having banking staff repeatedly miscount or miscalculate my deposit balance2. waiting for the better part of an hour to make a deposit on multiple occasions, while a perennially unhelpful member of the staff either parrots a memorized script about the advantages of utilizing the ATM or interrupts the singular, understandably overworked bank teller with unnecessary or useless information3. of course, this staffer never actually takes steps to reduce the burden on the rest of the staff and instead will sometimes engage in uncomfortably emotional or charged verbal self-defenses with either customers or fellow staffers. I have personally witnessed this individual, on two separate occasions, defending the value of their job to bewildered (and poorly-treated) customers. On the bright side, on more recent visits this staffer will sometimes instead merely engage in scripted and uncanny conversations with incoming or waiting guests, who typically defer against using the ATM for their banking needs. While deeply annoying and certainly useless, this newer category of dialogue does not feel actively threatening or malicious, which is a promising development4. being ushered against my protestations from a lengthy waiting queue towards an ATM5. being returned to the END of aforementioned waiting queue after it became evident to the highly trained customer service representative of this Wells Fargo branch that the ATM was not, in fact, sufficient to meet my banking needs6. observing the bank staff treat incoming customers with the same blatant disregard that I had, myself, experienced. There is an argument to be made here that, for all its faults, this branch of Wells Fargo has never treated me differently on the basis of my race, gender, sexual orientation, or other characteristics. All 1 of the stars that accompany this review are awarded for the simple fact that, at the end of the day, I can rely on this Wells Fargo location to dispense truly awful banking experiences in an indiscriminate manner. In a time when it's clear that not all businesses are so brave as to act in a truly neutral and impartial manner, I salute this Wells Fargo location for its steadfast commitment to producing an equitably terrible customer service. Bravo indeed, and a star well-deserved.I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for over a decade and a half. For all the faults of the company at large, I have remained with the bank due to its generally good customer service, reliability, and ease of use. At this juncture, I would like to congratulate the Philadelphia 36th and Market branch for a truly outstanding performance: relative to every other location that I have ever visited or in which I have conducted business, this branch stands alone in singlehandedly diminishing the stature of the Wells Fargo brand for me. As somebody who is agnostic, I do not pray to a god at night; however, after visiting this branch I fervently hope that any heavenly creator might duly punish the souls of Henry Wells and William Fargo for the damage that they wrought upon any citizen unhappy enough to bank here.

Terrible bank in a very inaccessible location. No parking or anything. They were too busy to help me with setting up a credit card and don’t even convert coins to cash here, what’s the point of being a bank if you don’t take U.S currency? TD bank down the street does this for their customers for free. I need to just switch banks. Idk why I still bank with WF they treat their customers like they are disposable

I had to work with a banker to transfer funds from my Dad's accounts after he passed away. It was a smooth process and Andrew was very kind and handled it for me. The tellers were also very helpful.

Really the only reason to still go to a bank for me is quarters for laundry. I know there’s a coin shortage, but there has to be a way to still provide this service to customers. I’m sick of traveling all the way here to find that I still can’t use this essential service.

Super long wait for ANYTHING. They have like 3 attendants when you come in asking what you are here for and then like 1 person actually helping people for what they came for.

I don't know who the banker was but I wish there was a 0 star option. She was so rude and did not want to help and her tone and words were extremely unprofessional

I hateeeeeeee this branch!!! SUPER SLOW!!! The are the slowest moving people on earth!! Even when they are not busy they move like sloths !! It's like the twilight zone you really can't believe it!! Like I closed my account because trying to get something done in the branch was impossible. They need better management and faster employees!!!!!! I seriously loathe this branch
