WPM Typewriter Shop is a unique and magical little treasure in Philadelphia's Mt. Airy neighborhood. The shop sells, rents, and expertly and affordably repairs manual and electric typewriters. The owner is a gem—very nice, kind, helpful, polite, easy to communicate with, friendly, professional, and very informative. The team does wonderful, reasonably speedy, and good repair and refurbishment work, making old machines immaculate and ready for years of use. The shop offers a large inventory of typewriters for sale, featuring a colorful and unique variety that anyone should come take a gander at. They help you select the typewriter made for you. Services are very, very affordable, with good prices, and they also offer ribbons and typing lessons. The shop is open daily (almost always) but it is best to call in advance. They provide expedited services outdoors. Customers are highly recommended to visit and will not be disappointed.

    What a breath of fresh air! So many used books priced at basically next to nothing. The owner was easy to communicate with and after we talked a while she totally understood what we needed done to refurbish our typewriter. Honestly, it even felt a little magical there.     This little shop is so unique, it was like finding a little treasure in that area of Philly. Plus the owner was a gem of a person. If you find yourself in the area, stop in, you won't be disappointed. Plus she fixes and refurbishes old typewriters, which was our initial purpose of the visit. Very Very very affordable too.

    Very Nice shop owner, She was very polite the whole time we talked. I had 2 typewriters brought in to be cleaned up and repaired. Prices were good and I will be able to use both typewriters for years to come.
