City Grows is an organic garden shop in Pitt that offers seeds, potted plants, soils, amendments, pots, tools, bonsai, and air plants. The store has a great selection of plants: hard‑to‑find varieties, standard fare, and lots of hidden gems. Staff are super helpful, kind, and super patient, spending time to guide customers on plant choice, care, and lighting. They provide education and a vast selection, which may cost a little more than a large retailer, but customers value the learning experience. The owner reached out after a bad interaction, addressed and corrected the situation, and customers appreciate the kindness. Every visit, customers receive free props at checkout, such as a vanilla bean orchid prop, which adds a sweet touch. City Grows is a must‑stop for plant people of all levels, with great staff and a caring environment.
I bought this cactus trio a few weeks ago, and I enjoyed my visit as always! I’ve never had a question go unanswered, and the staff is so friendly.
