Community Thrift Center is a Pittsburgh institution and a favorite thrift shop in the area for many. It is known as a treasure trove with the biggest selection of items, including high-quality furniture, clothing, sporting equipment, and scarves. New items arrive daily, providing a very good selection with decent turnover. The store is well organized, orderly, and arranged by color, with places marked clearly.
Opinions on pricing vary. Many find prices very reasonable and rock bottom, noting daily sales, a weekly 75% off day, and discount color tags for incredible deals. Others feel the store is overpriced and that prices are getting out of hand, suggesting you can get stuff cheaper elsewhere. A portion of all sales is donated to AMVETS, so purchases help give back.
It’s a fine thrift store but their prices on mundane things are absurd. Even Goodwill is cheaper.

You never know what you will find and that's the nature of a thrift store , the issue is lately the store seems to have a lot of empty shelf's and racks and what they do have is not the best. Worth a visit if your in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to go
