Pittsburgh Opera is an absolutely gorgeous venue with history, described as a blank canvas or blank slate perfect for unique events like weddings and parties. The space is a lovely, blank slate that allows clients to bring in their own vendors. The staff is amazing, lovely, responsive, kind, accommodating, and fabulous to work with, ensuring events go off without a hitch. The venue is highly recommended for planning an event with music or otherwise. The opera company also hosts free Brown Bag shows, which are a great, family-friendly way to ease into a full opera or try to see if you like it. These smaller scale free events are wonderful, informative, cool, and a stellar experience. The space for these can be intimately cozy, though the venue can also feel odd, like a gymnasium with folding chairs and a very narrow stage at times. The performances themselves, however, are wonderful. The performers are all so lovely, highly talented, and put on stellar experiences that can ignite interest in new art forms. These shows are suggested for anyone interested in opera, poetry, similar art forms, or simply expanding their horizons.

Absolutely gorgeous wedding venue with amazing staff! I had an art deco/gatsby themed wedding and this place was perfect! The space is a blank canvas for you to make your own! Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere unique with history to hold your event!
