“I love this store but prices have gone up and quality of some stuff is dollar tree status these days. 10 years ago it would have been 5 stars but the prices and what you get for the money take a point off. Look up reviews if you're buying electronics here, there are some great deals but also some stuff that's DOA like 90 percent of the time.”
“So many fun things, I do a giveaway every month on Facebook and most of the gifts in the basket are from 5 n below, I love them like I love party city ???”
“One of my favorite five below stores. They keep everything pretty well organized, super nice employees, and they go above and beyond to help you find what you're looking for.”
“Love the two crewman here. Raj n omg forgot his name n even saw it on the TV. But know ur orders if ur repeatedly a customer and get same thing. They also got pretty low prices. Definitely come in.”
“What a charming store for the community. A great place to pick up gift wrap supplies, cards, school supplies and more. Also, they have beautiful potted chrysanthemums in the fall!”
“I had an absolutely OUTSTANDING interaction that I had with one of the employees at this location. I went to the store for the Black Friday event and to shop. I was greeted by this amazing person who seemed genuinely happy to be there. She told me her name was Apryl. She answered the questions that I had perfectly. Later she noticed I seemed a little frustrated and was looking for something that I couldn’t find. So she came over and asked what I needed. I told her and she said it may be in a different bin so she went over with me (without me even asking her too) and started to go through the bin. When neither of us still couldn’t find any she said she knew of one place in the back where there was still some of what I was looking for. So she went back and brought me out everything I was looking for that neither of us found on the floor. Apryl made my day so much and I am extremely happy for her help and patience with me.”
“Beautiful clean store. Wonderful customer service from the girl with blue running all through out her blonde (Great look BTW). She is super sweet and helped me pick out socks for fiance. We scooped up a few things on the sale and absolutely love everything nerdy in that store.”
Dollar General opened its 20,000th U.S. store on February 24th in Alice, Texas. It’s a major milestone for the discount chain that started as one small general store back in 1955. Starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the grand opening celebration began at 9am. First customers received some freebies - tote bags filled with free product samples and snacks from DG's Clover Valley brand.
