“Had a project to do and Barrington was a big help! Had to come back to the store multiple times. If it wasn’t go him the project wouldn’t have been successful. He is super professional, knowledgeable, and friendly”
“Do it Best is an amazing hardware store. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help. They will help you find a single lightbulb or discuss a more complex project. I go out of my way to shop here to support this local gem.”
“If you want cold, sterile and unhelpful- go anywhere else. If you want to be treated like a valuable human, Stanley's is the place to go.
When you walk in, they ask how they can help you. When you tell them, they will explain any other supplies you may need as well. They are the perfect consultants. We also had an antique lamp that required some repairs. Someone else wanted to take it home as a side project. It came out far better than we expected.
On top of hiring locals and having staff who have been around for ages, it's a breath of fresh air going in there. I can't recommend them enough.”
“Great relic that is also very functional... They are the ONLY supplier in the city that carries Limeworks products for historical pointing. Love coming here. Chestnut Hill is one of my favorite parts of Philadelphia!”
“The employees in this store are wonderful! The prices at Harbor Freight are so much better than the big box stores like home Depot or Lowe's. I don't think I have seen a warranty backed by a store like this since Craftsman many years ago with Sears. I am always able to find what I need at a great price as well as picking up something extra because of the appeal.”
“The store itself is great, but there’s nothing better than an extremely hard working associate (Tom the cat) that never fails to greet us. On a real note, we do love seeing the cat when we visit and the place is very nice and organized.”
“A welcome relief from the big box stores. They have a wide variety of merchandise. They also rent tools. They often have items that I need for my home projects, unlike the big box stores.”
“This saw shop is great, they have everything you need to get Jobs started and finished, great prices and good chance that most of their items are cheaper than others selling same items, and the owners and people who work their are very knowledgeable and they couldn't be nicer, our business has been going there for years and have purchased a couple new chainsaws and have no issues with any of them, this place is great, go check it out you won't be disappointed, thanks Penn hollow for always having what I need when I need it!! ??”
“Want to talk to an employee who actually knows what they carry and provide you with intelligent advice? This is the place! Despite their small footprint, I've yet to walk out without what I needed; they've got it all! And their prices are competitive to the big box stores. You won't be disappointed. These guys are the best!!”
“The new plexiglass window and rescreening of an old screen was done in in excellence, in record time (same day), and the cost was moderate. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable; they knew their stuff. I will be back again.”
“Fairmount Hardware is a neighborhood institution, with good reason. Dave, the owner, goes out of his way to help non-professionals with their projects, large and small. He wired a lamp for me, he also cut glass to put in a frame I had, saving me the expense of having a framer do it.
I think he tries to impart to the young people he hires to work in the hardware store as much of his wisdom as possible. Yesterday, he instructed a young trainee as to how to remove a bit of rust on a porcelain plaque I brought in.
Today, another trainee made a great suggestion as to how I might attach the plaque to a Target basket with wingbolt nuts and butterfly screws, rather than the furniture nails I’d bought the day before.
The clerk at the cash register gave me a credit for the unused furniture nails I had bought the day before and deducted the cost of the two wingbolt nut and screws —you cannot get better service than that anywhere.
Hail Dave and his team!”
“today was my first time at Ace Hardware in Blue Bell. Lenny was amazingly helpful and friendly. He fixed a lamp while I waited, and the price was very reasonable! I will definitely go back to this store!”
“Just wanted to thank Louis Jr. for finding the Toro zero turn lawn mower that I was looking for. Excellent customer service. Wish you were closer to Feasterville.”
“Harbor freight has become my go-to for any tools needs I have. The prices are exceptionally good and the quality of product has been excellent. I was dubious of how good the products could be considering they were so much less than other.big box stores, but I've had several tools for a couple of years and they are still working as good as when I got them”
“I do maintenance around the block. This is the Best neighborhood hardware store. Very reasonable prices, great service. I can find here almost anything I need. Saves me a lot of trips to Home Depot.”
“I’m spoiled by the convenience and great personal service provided by Steve at Jacob Low Hardware. Just this week I popped in twice and quickly got exactly what I needed to complete my little projects. This local business is a real gem!”
“Chris made the process of getting started super easy. Had Charles and Javi set everything up at the house. They were both super friendly and respectful. Answered all questions we had and did a wonderful job! Highly recommend◡̈”
“Great local hardware store, with a good selection of paint colors to choose from. I stopped by just for paint, and the employee who helped me was very nice. I appreciated not being overly talked to, and he was quick with getting my paint all mixed together. It's nice to have a store in the neighborhood that's easy to walk to.”
“If you are someone like me, you are constantly doing little diy projects around your house and don't need tons of materials. Sometimes the Lowe's and Home Depot's can get extremely overwhelming and often times hard to find help from an employee. I have recently stopped going to Lowe's in Havertown and solely go to DMI on haverford rd! They have anything I could possibly need for the projects around my house. Lumber, paint, hardware, screws and nails, tools, gardening supplies, rental equipment for those larger projects, you name it! They also do chair and table rentals if you are throwing a party and need some extras! It really does feel like a family when you walk in there. There are numerous employees walking around, constantly asking how they can assist and make your experience at DMI better than it already is. From large to small, DMI has all that you could possibly need at a great price. Give it a try next time, I'm sure you will be back!”
“Convenient to my residence but much too small of a space for the amount of product the store carries, and as a result organization and claustrophobia can often become a problem. Several times it’s taken 5-10 minutes to locate an employee when I’ve had questions or am ready to complete a purchase.”
“If you're looking for a Benjamin Moore paint store in the Philly suburbs, you Must come to this store!!! I traveled from West Chester to Bridgeport to buy paint from these guys.Price: Unbeatable!!! This store was about $15 less than all the other stores in my area. Not only were they cheaper, they gave me a painter's discount and a free t-shirt... I love t-$hirts but I love them even more when they're free.Service: Outstanding!!! The staff here is exceptionally welcoming and knowledgeable. They don't try to upsell you nor trick you into buying things you don't need. You can ask a million and one questions and they will answer them all and still leave you with some genius advice you never thought of. When you come here for the first time you'll feel like you've been coming here forever. I never knew buying paint could feel this good!!!These are the businesses I'll make the effort to support and so should you!!! Thank me later ;).”

“The place was organized the store was well lit the staff was fast n helpful. They had what i needed and knew how to locate the item swiftly. The prices where ok. The parking seem to be my only problem. I had to park in a bus only zone and run in and out wich with the stores help I was in and out but there's no parking only on the side streets wich are always packed. All in all the experience here was ok no hassles waits or worries.”

“Great place! They make key copies for only $1.99 and also fix phone screens. I got my screen fixed here, and the price was much lower than other places like Home Depot. They sell drills that come as complete sets with all the bits included for a really cheap price. They also mix paint, which is very convenient. Highly recommended!”
“Whenever I need tools or supplies for a project, this place comes through every time. The staff are knowledgeable and always ready to help you find exactly what you need. It’s a one-stop shop for any DIY enthusiast.”
“I couldn't be more satisfied with the service. Rob, the owner, was incredibly prompt in responding to my inquiry and was very punctual when it came time for the job. Unlike other companies that never showed up or followed up, Rob was reliable from the start. He offered me two options for the work that needed to be done, and I was assured that both would be safe and reliable. Rob's expertise was clear, and he took the time to explain everything in detail.
Rob completed the job quickly and efficiently, and everything was left clean and tidy. I am extremely happy with the results and would 100% recommend Able Plumbing to anyone in need of plumbing services. Thanks, Rob, for your excellent work!”
“I swear this most be the best home depot I've ever been to, I must have been asked a minimum of 6 different people if we needed help with something, ive never had that im barley ever can even find someone but seems like there is always an abundant amount of employees to help”

“Clean. Organized. And the most incredibly helpful and friendly staff!! Just moved to the area and this store is nearest to our new home. We have been in and out of here several times now for a million different things and I’m just so glad to be local to such a great Home Depot location! Seriously the nicest people and has everything we need. ?????”
“From their sales counter, their sales personnel, their fabrication department, their in stock items from Francis to mini splits AC unit parts and all the tools you can imagine and if they don’t have it, they probably can get it. I’ve been done with these guys for over 30 years it’s just a wonderful experience every time you go into this Company. All the sales reps are very, very knowledgeable. I can go on about my experience there.”
