“Beautiful hotel and grounds! Amazing views and activities galore. What a wonderful experience and a perfect place for a holiday family gathering. So many activities to choose from and lots of gathering spots to chat or play a game of cards or just watch the passers by.”

“We had a wonderful stay over the Fourth of July. The room provided everything needed for a comfortable visit, and the staff was polite and professional.

Josiah, the GM and the staff made our stay extra special with the Fourth of July barbecue for all the guests. We truly enjoyed the hospitality, the beautiful grounds, and the clean, relaxing pool area. This was our second year celebrating the holiday at Woodfield Manor, they do an excellent job with their own fireworks display—almost 20 minutes long—which is very impressive and we can easily see it becoming a tradition.

We would definitely recommend this property. My only small suggestion for future upgrades would be the addition of a wet bar with a small sink in the living area to further enhance the guest experience.”

“The Lodge at MSL was absolutely wonderful. We got married in December and it had just snowed the day before so it was a literal white wonderland. We’ve also been there during the spring, and it is just as breathtaking.

Sharon was our coordinator and she worked with us since 2024 and all throughout 2025. She was quick with her responses and made sure we were happy with our choices. I gave birth the month prior to our wedding and she definitely made sure our newborn was accommodated for. She also noticed that I was frazzled and stressed the night before and day of, but she took care of everything and made sure I had exactly what I needed and helped navigate the rehearsal and the day.

Our guests would not stop raving about the food and it was all they would talk about during the holiday parties that followed. I’ve also heard compliments from my guests about how friendly the staff was during the event. We even requested our server from our tasting 7 months prior and she came the day that she’s typically off just to serve our sweetheart table.

Our photographer, Evan, even captured just how simply beautiful our day was. He even praised how stunning the Lodge is when we told him that it was our venue of choice.

We would highly recommend the Lodge because they really do make you feel like family.”

“It's a beauty! Check in was a breeze. It snowed during our visit and the staff gave us help cleaning off our vehicle. Thank you! There's an indoor/outdoor pool that looks quite pretty at night. It's heated so you can enjoy year round. Our room was gorgeous...I love the green and black decorum. Clean and spacious. Mini fridge, no microwave. The mattress was firm and comfortable. Coffee and water is available in the lobby.”

“Stayed here for a Saturday night while skiing at Shawnee and had a great time. The location can’t be beat, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was worth it to fuel up before skiing. The only complaints being that the walls are pretty thin so you can hear everything going on around you. However, the hotel has an old charm to it that you can’t find anywhere else. Would recommend!”

“Really like this place. Kids love it, too. Enthralling scavenger hunt, fun water rides

The food in the lodge is overpriced and not good. Everything tastes like creosote/smoked paprika and costs a small fortune. There is a great and affordable family diner next door (kids though they stepped into a time machine), a delicious Jamaican place 5 mins North, and Pho 5 minutes north of that - so location for food is surprisingly good

Rooms: Spacious and appealing with cute kids cabin.

Nearby activities: Better Food options than we expected, skiing, camelback, gun ranges, poconos outlets

Safety: Very safe

Walkability: Rooms are a long walk, but good excercise

Food and drinks: Drinks are ok, food is not good. They need to do better.

Noteworthy details: Magiquest is interesting and a top-tier scavenger hunt that forces kids to get excercise”

“I stayed at Best Western Plus and had a very disappointing experience. I was incorrectly charged a $127 “no call/no show” fee even though I was already staying at the hotel and simply switched rooms. On top of that, I was also charged an additional room-switching fee.

I contacted the front desk multiple times, and each time I was told the issue would be reported to management. I was even given a manager’s email address and sent a detailed message, but I never received a response. The lack of communication, accountability, and customer service has been extremely frustrating.

I would not recommend this hotel based on how this situation was handled.”

“The wife and I are staying for 3 nights.....the whole place is empty.... Feels like the Shinning... Price is on point.... Dude at the bar who served me breakfast was Kool....Staff is even hard to find.... We love it.... Me and the wife made so much noise and I violate insurance at the crazy level that would have gotten this thrown out of other hotels.... Four stars because the room is draftye”
