“All the employees were very nice and helpful. Ollie's is Ollie's. Great prices if you can find what you're looking for. The guys were great to go check the back room for what I was looking for and even opened the one box on the floor to see what the product actually was. Thank you. I decided to buy it even though it wasn't exactly what I wanted and I love it.”
“Local family owned grocery store. Not many cashiers, but consider yourself a temporary employee & ring and bag your own provisions. No cash back. I frequent North End and Phoenixville store on 724. I like their chef creations and ready-made meals for one. Alcohol like beer and wine is available for purchase but at a specific register with your ID. Don't expect to check out all of your provisions if you have 15 or more items at the beer and wine counter. I'm not absolutely clear regarding alcohol purchases & store policies since i dont drink beer or wine, Collegeville redners on 29 is awesome, too. I'll drive out of the way for their donuts. Bakers at Pottstown and Phoenixville are not as talented as Collegeville baker. . .”
“This store has everything I found what I came for no problem the store was clean not picked over everything was perfect & in the right spot I was in & out no lines.”
“Don't want to pay an absurd amount of money for things? Look no further than Ocean State Job Lot! I just bought 3 makeup items from there. Setting spray, a box of makeup brushes, and a small thing of eyeshadow. I paid $11 at Job Lot. When I got home, I did a Google image search on each of the products to see what their retail prices would've been. At retail price, those THREE ITEMS would've amounted to $51. I saved $40 on three relatively simple items here. Absolutely the perfect place for bargain hunters”
“Gabe's is awesome. It's sorta like a Ross or Marshalls but better. They do have electric buggies. You just have to ask and they went to the back room and got me one. We, in fact, just went to Gabe's 4 days ago. I actually found 2 pair of sweat pants, one is so soft like velvet. And a zip up black thin jacket with hood. A beautiful black sweater with gold buttons and bling on shoulder. And last a light pink hoodie. 2 pair of jeans. One pair size 20 fit great. The other are slim fit so they are a 24. All depends how they are made. I was so lucky I found what I did. It all depends on what they get in. I grabbed a cute pink purse because the purse section was picked clean. And the best part, if you download their app you get coupons. Right now I have 4 coupons to use by a certain date. It's great. They are $5.00 coupons and you can use 5 at a time when you check out. The more you spend the more coupons you get. They such nice shoes for men and women. I saw a cool pair of Hoka's for men. Home goods is great too. Anything you're looking for the definitely have it. I LOVE going to Gabe's. And just it a try. You'll like it too. Give yourself some time you'll be there awhile to see the whole store.”
“Very delightful. The customer service rep. (Cashier) made it clear it was $5 off of $25 today for my visit. Made my day better of not having to pay the way overpriced price of batteries.”
“EDWIN? IS? THE? MAN!!!! GIVE HIM A RAISE!!! We went in looking for a TikTok viral product during holiday week for my teen daughter. She didn't see it and I told her to ask. I asked 1 employee and he said he saw it but thinks it's gone. She asked someone who said they thought it was up front. Neither seemed to be too certain though. Refusing to give up I decided to ask 1 more employee. THANK GOD IT WAS EDWIN! I asked him and he recognized the item right away and said he thought it sold out already. But he offered to check the back and VOILA! HE BROUGHT A NEW BOX!!! ? He was so patient and kind and went the extra mile. He won my heart and am very thankful for his help. 5/5 from me! THANK YOU EDWIN! May you be blessed beyond measure for your kindness and service. ?”
“Went to this place for a table right then I seen a recliner that lifts you up and out the chair and all other things it does for my dad. Now these chairs go for about 600 to 2000 depending the brand right well got it for 250 dollars in real good condition no stains no rips like brand new I was shocked. Well now it's in my dad's house 🥰 amazing this place is and wonderful customer service. So if you like thrifty things this is where to go 🥰”
“Debbie was so polite and kind. I had to stop and pick up balloons for my son's bday, and she was so pleasant. She has a lot on her plate but you couldn't tell she was running the show!! Only one upfront and kept control of her line. Thank you, and I wish you well, Debbie. God Bless”
“Prices goes up and bread is $3! Also I didn't know some batteries were $5 until I got home because there is no price near those type of batteries. Other than that, the store is fine, wish the prices drop back to $1.”

Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
