“I'll tell you what for having a hard time. Getting people to want to get a job. Seeing 3 or 4 people run that store every day. My head's off to you, ladies kick butt. And thank Sam, you rock. You're really amazing person”
“They make every visit very personable and geared towards exactly what you are looking for. Very knowledgeable, friendly and understanding. Reminds me of how business was conducted years ago. Down to earth, and willing to go out of their way for you!”
“Best hoagie place in Altoona Pa. Family run Italian market with a cafe next door. You will not find a better more authentic Italian hoagie anywhere in Altoona that compares to alto market.”
“10/10 everything! The humans are all super nice. There is an adjacent lot to the entrance. Pull in there and call the number posted next to the restroom. Immediately got a door and we are done and gone in 50 mins. The store is super cute too! I highly recommend the pasta salad:) safe travela”
“I love this place! We don't have anything close to this in Southeast Texas and I wish we did. Bulk foods, housewares, a deli in the back, a miscellaneous section hidden at the back left of the store. Service is always wonderful too. Ambiance is fine. It's a small grocer but it has a little bit of everything squished inside. A very simple store but so much fun to explore.”
“I mean, for a local grocery store, it’s a pretty good place. Full of the staples, you might struggle to find a few items off the beatin’ path. Generally fresh produce. Service is good too — esp. the young lady at the self-checkout who helped me with a yogurt barcode that was not coming up. Thanks!”
“We use hometown a lot. Great people working there to help also with anything but what has happened to the deli? Those guys are just plain rude!! Today is Sunday Sept 23. I went to the deli and some new to me guy walked up and stared at me. Never said a word! Opened his eyes like what do you want?? I said can’t smile or nothing? He never flinched and never said a word. Like he did not want to be there at all and huffed a little like I just ruined his day! He had short dark hair with a scruffy kind of face and eyes that just stared straight ahead like nobody was home. Why are they there.Last wk I asked for a pnd of ch. I got a half pnd. I said oh, I needed a pnd! That guy huffed like I interrupted him. I did tell him what I thought of him. It was not good but he acts dif now. I’ll just go to other stores as I don’t feel we need to be feeling like we are bothering anyone. We are spending OUR money.”
“Friends Farm is definitely worth visiting. Their fresh baked scones are a must but they also have cookies, biscotti, breads, farm eggs, etc all fresh and delicious.”
“This was my first time in one of those stores and I enjoyed it. The 2 guys at the deli were super sweet and helpful . Showed me things in store I couldn't find and sliced me some good meat . Would def recommend”
“I have shopped MARTIN'S for many years & recently started using their pick up service. I love the idea of not going into the store to shop because, let's face it, grocery shopping is over rated. I have never had an issue with the quality of produce, meat, dairy, frozen foods... matter of fact, their meats are awesome. The employees are very friendly but as most of you do, they make mistakes too. My last order for pickup was missing items & 3 days later I realized it. Called them & they filled the order for the missing items free. Now is that good service for a human mistake, yes it is & I'll continue to support local.”
“I absolutely love Martins! They have amazing deals & bonus buys! Not to mention the selection, variety and quality of food offered is Great! Personally, they are the best grocery store I’ve ever shopped at!”
“Such a friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable staff. Wonderful variety of annuals and perennials, bushes, mulch, trees, and more. I recently purchased 14 plants and I'm looking forward to going back for shrubs. I like the addition of the food trucks too.”
“Very nice associates. Very clean. Nice store. 75% of the shoppers weren’t wearing their facial shroud of compliance. Thankfully. Less communism than Red Chinamart.”
“This Dollar General is a better store than Duncansville and Hollidaysburg. It's a good size, very clean and looks organized. It's a great place to stop real quick when traveling. There's a lot to look at so if you have time great if not make sure you know what you want and ask them where it's located if you can't find it. Go ahead and check it out. I'd stop here before any other ones. The employees are very friendly and talkative. I suggest just stopping in sometime because they should have what you need.”
“Really appreciate this pharmacy, and especially Jason, for going above and beyond to always get me what I need. They're really on the ball and help make some pretty complicated health issues easier for me by getting me the prescriptions I need. So glad to have them as part of my healthcare team.”
“It was nice to just walk in get what I needed the crew is pretty decent and understanding down there helped me with an emergency when my son had an accident and I needed to find clothes quick”
“Has food most places don't carry, I go there for siggies plant based yogurt I love the mixed berry flavored one. And they have natural organic flavored sparkling water I like.”
“Stopped at our local Dollar General as I do couple times a month.I wasn't feeling the greatest , but I ended up having a very nice cashier named Julie helping me with a concern. She went out of her way to be helpful regarding digital coupons for your store. She took her time, Knowledgeable, and made me feel like she actually wanted to help and not just put me thru the checkout.Thank you Julie ,I did your job and I know it is not always easy.!Keep up the great work you are doing!!Stopped in Saturday Jan 28.!,some people do make a difference!!!”
“My son Russell (1yo) made friends with Penny. She then bought him a balloon out of the kindness of her heart. People like her deserve a raise and keep me coming back to such a great store.”
“The Family Dollar is a great place when you need a few items or something you may have forgotten. Not all prices are below the bigger stores, but since there is one in every town, you can save gas, and that is a good deal in Joe Bidens' economy. They also carry a small supply of groceries if you need something or find yourself craving a certain snack.”
“I placed an online order for my weekly groceries and called when I arrived. I explained that I was driving a big truck (semi with trailer) and the customer service representative was more than helpful. I waited about 5 minutes and got everything on my list. The people who brought me my items were very pleasant and polite. And even though I was not in any sort of designated parking area, I was told I could take all the time needed to put everything away before heading out. I wish all of the Walmart stores and staff were as courteous as this location.”
“If I could put 5⭐+ for Alicia Hale, she was beyond helpful this morning when we had a problem with our home delivery order and the driver had been in an unexpected accident, but we didn't know that until just recently. She helped in multiple ways and made sure to keep us updated and called back multiple times when there's been other times I either wouldn't be able to get a hold of someone at all, or have had a hard time getting a resolution. And our grocery driver also is going above and beyond returning and bringing the groceries back ASAP when she's able to after an accident.”
“I’m super impressed with the speed of which my prescriptions are filled and at times can be many. The pharmacy staff is always kind, friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to questions I may have. A++”
