“Did you know many semitrucks have a radar that scans approx 500' forward? Anyone who slides into that safe following distance zone and slows usually causes the truck to slow down to recreate that safe space. Especially on up-hill and regardless of that radar, it's aggravating to slow the truck and have to creep back up to speed with 80k lbs. under you (the weight of 15-20 cars) - while the offending car accelerates away, happy-go-lucky and unknowing. Truckers know this but many times it fails to click for even them. --The other thing is many semitrucks are speed limited by their company to as low as 60 mph, most to around 65 mph. So sometimes you see trucks get stuck out in the fast lane because the slower vehicle they are trying to pass speeds up. It is a problem and it is an aggravation for everyone except the vehicle being passed. Usually they don't have a clue what's going on or that there's even a problem. The simple solution is for the vehicle being passed to slow down just a bit to its original speed and allow the passing vehicle to accomplish its goal.Now YOU know.Tell all your friends.And would you say the DMV has failed motorists with respect to educating us on these issues?”

“Great coffee guys! Thank you.Not a bad place, but it is older and it needs work. For sure there's too much parking that they want you to pay for. Some of the parking needs to be rebuilt. I will say to every truckstop owner that reads this: I don't even stop at places with majority paid-parking unless I have absolutely no choice, and that is very, very seldom.I don't know about the showers, but other reviewers here seem to think generally they are usually in good shape.Note: Some more good news is this coming Jan 2024 this location is going to close the store for a couple of weeks for renovations. I'm not sure if the entire facility is going to close.--Be safe out there guys.And mainly for you new drivers, quit speeding up when guys are trying to pass you. You leave somebody stuck out there in the passing lane with traffic behind them and traffic behind you and you're going to make somebody more than aggravated.”

“Our water heater in our travel trailer got a leak and the bath house at the rv park we're staying at for 2 weeks is closed because of covid. Lucky for us this pilot is just about 10 mins away. We were able to reserve a shower quickly and were given a pin to punch in when our number was up. Bathroom was very spacious. The shower head had amazing water pressure. There was a hand pump of some kind of soap in the shower. Probably some 3 in 1 man soap. The water temp was able to to get as hot as you'd want it and then some. There were even towels inside. One to lay down as a mat, one wash cloth and one large one to dry off with. This seems very handy if you're a truck driver. It was a little more than I was thinking I'd be spending but it was worth it to feel clean.”
