“We stayed 4 nights due having to be at hospital every morning. Room was very clean. Only regret was they didn’t have a microwave. Had to eat out every night. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Had a waffle maker. Coffee was good. Overall we had d a good stay. It was convenient to hospital.”

“I come here at least one a month and everyone is always so nice. Breakfast is great!!! What I really LOVEEEE is that this is the only hotel I know that has black make up towels for us ladies. I love it!!!”

Penn State Campus, Museums, Military Sites, Ski site, CavesSafety: Pretty safe.Walkability: Two garages across from hotel. Very convenient. Bagel shop across. Target and Starbucks adjoined.Food & drinks: Hard to find anything past 10pm. A few late night spots open till 2AM if you like pub/bar/eateriesNoteworthy details: The atmosphere is college town. Pedestrian friendly.”
“Parents - Stayed here for a night last week while helping my college kid move out. I've stayed at other hotels in State College and Altoona and this hotel's beds were the MOST comfortable. Holy crap. I even had to ask the front desk what type of mattress they use! Don't let the 2☆ hotel status nor the ridiculously strong air freshener (that slams you when you first walk in) fool you - if you need a good night's sleep to re-energize, this is it.”
“We stay at this courtyard location a couple of times a year. Every single time we stay there everything is in good order, clean, and they have the absolute best staff. I wish all courtyards were operated and cared for like the State college one.”

“I got a great deal on expedia. Rooms were nice and beds were super comfortable and clean. You can smell the bleach that they used to clean the sheets. We checked in and as soon as i walked into my room, the front desk called me and they said that they were moving me to better room bc a dog was barking in the room that i originally had. Would definitely stay here again. The next day i needed a different hotel, which i paid 3xs the amount, and it smelled obnoxiously terrible like it had waaaay too many air fresheners. It was a great location and super cheap”

“Wonderful staff. One helped me get a few items when I missed breakfast, another took care of a loud guest at 2am that was shouting obnoxiously, and a 3rd asked me if I was alright or if there was anything she could get for me.”
“Nice hotel located at an ideal location in State College, easily walkable to the Penn State campus and all of the restaurants and shops you need to have a great PSU experience. Friendly and accommodating staff, clean and modern rooms especially compared to other downtown hotels. Also one of the more quiet hotels downtown as well.”

“I was there for a conference. I called ahead to make reservations for lunch and wad told they don't take reservations and they never have problems seating people for lunches at conference , BUT I was late getting back to the conference (I didn't want to inhale my lunch)”

“Perfect place to stay on cross-country drive. Easy access from highway, very pleasant staff, even in the breakfast area, comfortable beds with 4 soft fluffy pillows, and a full variety of breakfast items at the self service area, which also offered a spacious seating area.”
