Hours: The Maxxen is home to a community of trendsetting, ambitious Nittany Lions searching for student apartments near Penn State. It is a great place with a very neat and secure building. The location is great and unbeatable, only a five minute walk from campus and close to all services in the downtown area. This makes it very convenient for students, easier to come home between classes. The apartments feature private rooms and bathrooms for each person. The kitchen is large and has lots of storage, and the couches are very comfortable. The building offers amenities including a pool, gym, and study rooms. The staff provides amazing, friendly, and professional service, putting in effort that is above and beyond to make residents feel welcome. Some residents note that the roommate matching is not accurate and does not match the questionnaire, and the elevators do not work from time to time. However, overall it is considered a wonderful, safe place to stay, absolutely worth it for PSU students looking for off-campus housing.
