“I stopped here on a whim and boy am I glad I did.
It was a small, reasonably priced grocery store. The dairy selection was great, I really enjoyed the little premade meals, the cut of meat I got from here was excellent & reasonably priced, but my favorite part was the cake.
I paid $2.50 for the most delicious, gigantic piece of banana cake. Upon opening it when I got home the wonderous scent of banana wafted up to greet me and the taste did not disappoint. I am driving out of my way to visit here again.”
“One of the Best Italian Stores around, been a staple for Authentic Foods , Supplies and one of the Best Hoagies you'll ever have because they're made fresh daily! I get Italian Hoagie and add Mortadella & Capacola, where can you get that for under $8. Bucks!! Please check them out for lunch!!”
“Foodland is everything what a grocery store should be and by far an improved shopping experience over Walmart. Reasonable parking for a reasonable sized neighborhood grocery store. Nothing overwhelming. Inside was well stocked, neat, clean and well organized. My interactions with staff was minimal however the woman in the meat department was friendly, enthusiastic and informative, as were the front end staff who were also friendly and cheerful.

“Very clean store, though aisles and food displays are confusing. The produce section is plopped down in the front center of the store which makes for weird traffic patterns. There's not a clear path to wait for cashier line.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. This Aldi usually has all the Aldi finds in stock.... Maybe because theyre difficult to find in the store ?”

“I have never went to a giant eagle that had such fine quality meats as the West Newton giant eagle not only are the meats the best meats out of all the giant eagle but the employees that work in the meat department are simply outstanding, helpful, and care about the stuff they are putting out for people to buy They are definitely in that meat department, the A-Team.Eddie and Greg are simply the best meat men ever!!!”
“Cooked foods department has some great tasting chicken pot pies. However, some Giant Eagle's can overbake the pie. Light brown crust is good, no to dark brown crust because the filing is dried out. Fishers Heights Giant Eagle does an excellent job baking them. Price could be better for its size but, it is delicious in my opinion.”

“This is a premium store that has been around since I was young. During the holiday Christmas they would put up electric train sets and I loved to go there just to watch them. Some of the same people have been working here forever.
Everyone is friendly they got good deals often. I no longer live near by and don't frequently shop here much unfortunately.”

“I used to order special bagels that only one employee made, but she's no longer there and sad to say no one makes them like she did.... Cakes are good... Get them every year, with whipped icing... All were great except last year it looked like a 3 yr old decorated it... That would of been ok if I bought it on the spot but I ordered it weeks ahead....”
“Easy to run in and out. Front of store has a little construction going on or something with yellow caution tape up but still can easily run in and grab everything that you need.”

“As part of the Visit PA 2023 Scooped Ice Cream Trail, I made my way to New Salem. It was an over hill over dale trip. The local churches must have just let out. Several families came in with one focus ... ice cream. Cones, quarts, and gallons were sailing out the door. I sat outside on a bench and totally enjoyed my ice cream. One family joined me on the benches. They said stopping for Jackson Dairy was a mandatory stop on the way to and from grandparents' house in Laurel Caverns. Getting gas to make the trip home was 1 stop shopping.”
“Fast, friendly, clean environment. Staff was wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The Roscoe DG has a much better set-up than many of the others I've been in. The aisles are much wider and it's much more organized/cleaner. Saved 30 dollars with my two five dollar off (Saturday) coupons, combined with other digital coupons, which was super convenient and also helpful to my budget. It's a store I actually don't mind going into, unlike others, such as Walmart. I can spend an hour in this store easily, without all of the overcrowding and hostility from other shoppers that I experience in bigger stores. It's much more peaceful, like shopping should be. Sometimes I end up purchasing items I don't even need, just because I'm able to spend the extra time browsing. When I'm at bigger stores like Walmart, I get in and out as fast as possible. I only "browse" at Walmart online because the physical environment is just incredibly intolerable. Grateful for DG with an environment that allows me to shop in peace!”

“I'm going to give them five stars because I believe they will listen to what I am saying as follows!
The self checkout can be utilized by first responders, police, and veterans if they are coming in for their free 12 oz drink by simply scanning their driver's license. Why hold up the line and create a longer line for the officer who simply wants a 12 oz complimentary beverage? Why stress out the cashier needlessly? Unless Giant ? is trying to compel us to buy something, which is possible, probable actually, then they should have this feature on the self checkout forthwith. If not, I shall reduce the five-star rating down to one star and I'll quit going to the store. I'll try to give free coffee and drinks two passers-by so they'll quit going to the store.
If it's about efficiency, so be it; make it efficient. First responders, police and veterans will buy things from the store if they so choose. Don't lull them into coming in with a carrot. Give them the carrot then they will solicit your business. Make them chase the carrot and they'll put you out of business. And that Mr ? is good business and how you conduct the same. So Be It!”

“First pizza I got there was great, I ordered 2 a matter in fact. That when they had 114 in and 16. Now the say they don't have the 14 inch one any more. They must of thew the good taste out with the 14 inch shells. They had a special 2 p14 in pizzas for15.00.Now they only have extra large with starts at 16.00”
