“Was in dire need of stomach medicine while on vacation weekend. Dreaded the trek to the local Walmart. Every essential item needed was found here, and at reasonable cost. Before you take that drive you'd be wise to check here.”
“This grocery store has senior discounts on Tuesday and Thursday of each week. With the store under new ownership(I was told) you must ask or remind them of your senior discount. The old store rewards card no longer works.”
“Love this store.The owner is so so sweet and friendly-Whenever we are up there we stop by to get donuts! They order from NYand it is absolutely delicious!You can get quick essentials as well- milk, eggs, water, toothbrush etc. The store also has certain products that are specific to the history of this town. Such as, Norwegian related candies, town stickers etc.Small but mighty- very important part of this area!”
“4 stars for great managers and accomodating staff. Do agree with Google & Yelp reviewers no cashiers open after 7 p.m. though staffers visibly available. Recently saw two female staffers, one a Dept Manager, making obvious fun of a customer. The customer aware too.and let them know. No apologies doubt they were at all deterred. Ironically neither staffer has the beauty of - not even close - to Marilyn Monroe. Employees are supposed to provide customer service not amuse themselves at expense of customers pride . How is it possible Corporate does not monitor business cameras and see such unprofessional and mean employee conduct ?.”
“If you're on the go and want a quick bite to eat they have an array of options and its made fresh daily. Delicious! And as a vegetarian, I love the cauliflower and broccoli cheese bites! Yum! Fresh fruit cups, chicken nuggies, sandwiches, wraps, burgers MTO. Everything you can think of, they have it!”

“Most of the staff here is quite friendly and respectful. If you can't find something they don't have a problem directing you to it or showing you where it is. There is only one younger female staff member who always seems to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. I understand everyone has things going on in life and sometimes it puts you in that particularly bad mood... but every time she's there it's like the rest of the staff is in perminent "eye roll" mode bc of her horrible attitude and constant complaining about either her personal situations or other customers so loudly you can't avoid hearing it. They also have ready made sandwiches which are delicious and the ice cream prices are great. A wide selection of ice creams can be found here. ? keep up the good work guys and gals.”
“Stopped here for a few last minute camper needs for the extended weekend. Felt bad for the girl working she was all alone and there was a bunch of customers. Its a busy week with Wally Lake Fest going on. She handled it well and kept the line moving while still helping customers. Store seemed to be in need of attention, however it was Wally Fest and I'm sure a bunch of the mess/clutter was customer created and as stated she was there alone. Had a decent selection of produce and frozen foods which I did not expect to see and of course everything with priced as it should be for a dollar general. All in all with everything taken into consideration not a bad little shop.”

“People were very nice, the woman working the floor went to the back like three times looking for products that hadn't been stocked yet. She probably hated us but was very nice about everything and even thought of a product we hadn't which was a huge help. The two employees we dealt with were both very nice.”
“I gave 4 stars because I don't consider it a "gourmet" grocery store. They have a pretty good selection of foods plus a little beer & wine area. Once you buy from this part you must take the alcohol out to your vehicle.
You can, of course, go back in to get your groceries. It's pretty good for a local
(& vacation) store. (Lake Walenpaupak is very close as is I 84.)”
