“A quaint town near Philly, home to an extraordinary hidden gem. The former summer retreat of Adolf Rosegarten Jr. A WWII veteran and hero...features an amazing mile-and-a-half private estate garden with multiple themed pavilions, all wrapped in a serene natural landscape.
Walking through the grounds feels like stepping back into the timeless wonder and tranquility that nature offers. A peaceful escape filled with beauty, history, and quiet reflection.”
“Such a privilege to have access to a free garden like this! The old cherry trees were surreal in bloom, and the historic house and other hidden gems around the garden make for a nice walk. The ladies working there to greet you at the entrance were so kind and explained some of the background.”
“I found a screech owl standing in the middle of the road during the day, so knew something was not right. I carefully picked it up, placed it in a box with a blanket inside, and brought it to Philly Metro Wildlife Center.
They ask that you donate $50 when you bring in an animal to help cover the cost of taking care of it, which I found to be a small ask. It's also not required at all, so donate what you can, whether it's more or less ?
I was given a case number and was able to call a couple days later to check in on my owl friend. It's nice knowing that you can help an animal to either heal or help it to have an easier death than what was waiting for it in the road. Thank you to the entire animal care team for all that you do”
“Our family has had the greatest experience with Kitty Cottage as foster parents and adoption parents. It is very apparent that they take the greatest most excellent care of this cats in their care.
It is good for the soul to see an organization that cares so much.
We are looking forward to fostering again. ♥️?”
“Phenomenal place the only negative was having to listen to a staff member or a volunteer curse up a storm for like 10 minutes when I was lacing up my sneaks outside of that amazing ? !!!
Closed on Tuesdays”
“Well groomed mowed grass trails. A fountain. Beautiful wooded path. Nice views of small hills and dells, pretty old stone houses. There is little level ground except paths along Crumb Creek.”
“The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) is a tremendous resource for people and families affected by FTD. Their team is comprised of a wonderful group of people working together for a great cause. It is an honor to support this organization and their mission.”
“Everyone goes through hard times and I was sent here when I lost my job. It is like a little shopping store that makes you feel human again and not receiving hand outs . Thank you for helping me and my family.”

“This is a really neat organization and place. I got to meet the founder, Fran, who was very hands on. They do in service days where groups can sign up and have a lot of regular volunteers. Their name may be Jewish but they are non-denominational and help everybody they can!!
They specifically provide household, personal care, clothing, and other items to displaced families and those in need. As a volunteer you basically 'shop' for the individuals within a family (they stated it is usually mostly women and children) then box up everything with labels. It is all volunteers - down to even the delivery drivers! We went with a group of about 9 people.
1. Register before you visit.
2. Follow the signs as volunteers park in the back and that is also where donations are accepted.
3. Once you are in the volunteer door, sign in on the tablets to the left.
4. Then you will be directed to hang out at some tables, with the coat rack towards the right of the door
5. You will be given a tour and explanation of what they do and then assigned work!
Everything is clearly labeled and organized. You are split up into smaller groups and they have 'leaders' for volunteers that will provide collection lists, answer questions, direct and confirm. Everything is placed in not-too-heavy boxes and labeled properly. Items this organization donated to families in need include: tooth brushes, pot/pans, socks, pads/tampons/panty liners, shoes/boots, books, toys for all ages.
You feel really really good walking out those doors after your volunteer shift because you gain this connection for those in need as you shop for them. They are super organized and pleasant and honestly I have only more positive stuff to say!”
“Couldn't be friendlier or more patient. It is first come first srrve- so fillout your papers on line and go right after you see yiur hopeful new family member.

Also! Follow up emails.

“I’ve been a member of CCCBI for about a year and it’s been an incredibly positive experience. The relationships are genuine, and people truly go out of their way to support one another. They’re intentional about making meaningful connections, and I’ve personally benefited from some truly thoughtful introductions. It’s a community that shows up. I just renewed my membership, and it was an easy decision.”
“This is NOT review of the membership program - I am not a member - but the facility itself is beautiful, clean, and well-organized. This is about their synchronized swimming team, which is excellent. We are their competitors and love attending their meets. They are kind hosts and great, sportsmanlike competitors!”
“This organization is truly the place for your gift to care for orphaned, abused, and children of need. They have a remarkable story starting in Honduras with the vision of Father Dennis O'Donnell, and Anthony Granese. The children are truly nurtured from childhood into adulthood with the love and vision of Christ. God Bless !”
“For anything I and my family have needed the Chabad of Delco has always been there. They are the most wonderful family and have fun and engaging events. Always trying to make this world a better place.”
“I haven't seen smoking bars since pre COVID but walking into this place for the first time to see a metal show and seeing I could have a drink and smoke a cigarette while watching the Phil's between bands was one of my highlights of this past year. Long live the Polish club ??????”
“This Habitat is great! All of the people who work there are really wonderful. It is very large and offers terrific prices and I learned from one of the employees that they are opening and even larger store nearby this year.”

“As a Consignor and a customer, I have had nothing but positive interactions with Liz and her volunteers! Always great treasures to find a Surrey Consignment Shop”
“Excellent quantity of goods and very well organized. The displays make it easy to look at each item without everything being piled up on top of each other. The prices are excellent as well. It's a great place to pick up something knowing that you're making a small contribution to a good cause.”
“We just adopted our new puppy. She spends her first months with Carolynn who did an amazing job. Sissy (ex Dopey) is an incredible girl, well mannered and socialized. My dog and her were already best friends after a couple of days. She has some health conditions which were well explained to us before we made our decision to adopt her. All dogs are taking care by a foster and don’t go to a shelter. We highly recommend them and a huge thank you to Carolynn.”
“Child guidance has helped my family greatly. My daughter has some learning challenges. Child Guidance Resource Center helped set me up with resources and referrals needed to get her the help. I was also very sickly when I reached out to the agency. The therapists really helped me to advocate for my health. This left my family and I feeling empowered. I would definitely recommend Child Guidance Resource Centers ?”

“My son has been here for 5 weeks, and we are very happy with the staff, service, and overall experience there. This is a very difficult journey for any family, but this place really put us at ease. The staff are very warm and caring, and most importantly made my son feel at home. Thank you all.”
“My mother worked in the Foundation' s school project library in the late 1960's and start of the 70' s. We lived very close to Freedom's Foundation. I could see the large American flag from my window in a three story house below the hill. Valley Forge will always be a very sure foundation of God and country for me. I had a remarkable childhood. I was able to walk from the house, to see my mom, after getting home from school. God bless Freedom' s Foundation. God bless the USA”
