“I started coming here after receiving a very questionable quote for work needed on my VW Tiguan at a local dealership. If you want honest, quality work- come here! Bob ( the owner) looks for ways to extend your cars life rather than having to replace. He is very knowledgeable and skilled. I have a VW that had an oil consumption problem and was needing to add 1 qt every 300 miles. Bob came up with a solution that likely saved my engine and my wallet.

The up sale in filter I didn’t mind as I needed it, only about $10 more than Amazon and I didn’t have to charge it myself add order it so I gave em the sale, they work with us on corp rates and I like they show the oil but I’d like to see a video of the charging the filler as done I’d these places screw you like the other place used to up 51 do that’s why we go here now. But a video can be great to really know the filter is being charged. But this crew seems pretty good and polished.”

The team at Valvoline in McMurray is absolutely amazing! It’s so rare to find great customer service these days, but these guys truly went above and beyond. I actually stopped in because my tire pressure was low and asked if I could pay them to level out my tires — and they said, “No, thank you,” and did it for free! They also checked and topped off my other fluids, like windshield wiper fluid, and let me know my oil was about a quart low. I was so grateful for their kindness, honesty, and professionalism. You just don’t see that kind of care anymore. I highly recommend this location!”
“Great service by the team and the manager Tim, but if I were to leave a real review to get the owner’s attention, it would be 1 star. The franchise owner “PREMIUM VELOCITY AUTO LLC” really needs to change their tire sourcing contract, especially when there are four tire shops a stone’s throw from this JL location. No fault to the team here (so I didn’t deduct any stars) but FOR THE OWNER: an expected 1-2hr oil change & state inspection service turned into an almost 6hr visit as we waited over 4.5hrs for my new tires to be delivered (though the third party had “guaranteed” under 2hrs, which means nothing). I only came here because it’s one of the few shops in the area where a state inspection doesn’t require you to drop your car off and “come back later” so I thought this would be a quicker visit. When tires are one of the main services you advertise all over the building, you should be able to provide them “in a jiffy”. (I couldn’t leave because my old tires failed inspection, otherwise I 10000% would have bought my tires from someone else and gotten my entire day back.) I really appreciated Tim’s sympathy, repeat follow-up with the third party, and hustle once the tires finally arrived. I know it was completely out of his control, but other customers would not be nearly as understanding as I am (sitting here 7 months pregnant by the way) and I really regret giving business to the third party tire provider.”

“Be careful when making an appointment for tires. Its best to make the appointment online and purchase tires that way. I made an appointment at the store and the employee assured me my tires would be set aside for my appointment. I work the overnight shift and when I got out of work, I headed over to Walmart for my scheduled appointment. I waited in line for at least 30 minutes( they were busy) only to be told my tires were never set aside and I would have to reschedule. They didn't have any other tires in my size. I was upset but the employee was very nice and understanding. He repeatedly apologized for his coworkers mistake. I will use this place again but order my tires online next time.”
“I moved to the South Hills from a large city 4 years ago and always had difficulty finding a knowledgeable/trustworthy/responsive/fair priced auto shop my entire life. It has been such a breath of fresh air finding that it exists at P & W. Kathy always answers the phone and has been great at fitting us in even when we are in a pinch. Thanks for all the hard work!”
