The Black Bass has been of our “ to go to “ places for many years. And now more GF items including the wonderful GF biscuits at brunch!”
“I came here for a funeral luncheon. The food was very good. I enjoyed the steak they had and the desserts they offered. The location was very nice. The architecture of the buildings and the views of the woods and creek, I can only imagine how beautiful this place would look in any season other than winter.”

“Beautiful hotel. King suite was very spacious with a separate bedroom. Loved the variety for breakfast. Sausage gravy and biscuits were delicious. And we loved the warmed iced cinnamon buns. Best hotel breakfast we've had yet.”
“When I walked into the Buck Hotel, my family and I were pleasantly greeted. We were seated quickly. As we walked, I asked about an area and the hostess offered to see us there. The servers were friendly, the food portions were generous and so delicious. I will definitely return to the Buck Hotel.”

“I've been here several times and I'll plan to return again next time I'm in the area.Positives:+ Things just feel new. From the furniture to the carpets to the bathroom tiles, stuff just feels like it's either well-maintained or recently installed. It helps make the rooms feel sparkling clean.+ The staff is pleasant.+ There's plenty of parking. Also, it snowed while I was there and the lot was shoveled/plowed very promptly.+ The gym/fitness center is great. There's plenty of equipment, all in good shape. There's a ton of light which makes it pleasant to be in. And there's enough space for multiple guests to use without feeling too close.Negatives:- The bathroom has only a passive vent, not a real fan to remove humidity or smells.- There wasn't great sound insulation between rooms, so we did hear our neighbors at times.”

“We really enjoyed our stay.PRO: Loved having the hot tub & fireplace. The double shower head walk in was huge, and I liked it has a door. Room was spacious and clean (even under UV light.) Great location with lots to do. Great privacy.CON: You can tell the rooms are older & could use some minor improvements (loose, hanging recessed light. Fridge door seal was broken and didn’t shut - we just put something up against it. TV remote was broken). Note: I didn’t take time to report any of these because they were minor inconveniences & I was busy enjoying my stay.Nearby activities: Check out Bury The Hatchett Axe throwing and get the premium package. Tons of fun!Food & drinks: Metro Diner within in walking distance and always delicious.”

“Here are the key points:1. Great location, right near where the turnpike meets Route 1. Wawa with gas is right there as well as a decent breakfast restaurant nearby.2. Excellent front desk staff that really seems to care.3. Excellent, comfortable beds.4. Good, fast elevators near the lobby.5. Great shower pressure, although the tub in our suite had a puddle in the floor.6. The TV is way too small, given its distance from the beds.7. Housekeeping is terrible: - They only clean rooms once per week, and it shows. The floor/rug was unclean, as was evidenced by my dirty feet after taking a shower and walking around the room. - There was a used washcloth on the shower curtain rod. - The dishwasher was clean but had not been emptied. - The pillows are wrapped in zippered covers, but the metal zippers were facing outward, so they can scratch your face, rather than safely in the pillowcases.”

“The Homewood made having a block at their location seamless. Steven was great to work with always happy to provide updated room counts and even assist in moving someone into the block who was originally booked outside of it by accident. The location was also perfect for our Welcome Party (renting out the meeting space) which allowed our guests to easily stop by from their rooms. The actual hotel rooms were wonderful and super clean.”

Constantly missing luggage carousels.I came here to leave a review for the housekeeping, maintenance and breakfast staff. They offer make your own waffles, juices, yogurt parfait station, eggs, meat, potatos, and breads. They offer cereals and milks. They also have a toasting machine. Rosy and her girls go above and beyond. The housekeeping girls are amazing too. They offer breakfast with your stay from early morning till about 9. The girls are friendly, polite, and provide great service. We are staying for a long time. So we are seeing staff on a daily basis.Rooms: Average.Nearby activities: Not sureSafety: The facility feels pretty safe.Walkability: Walking distance from many restaurants and shopping. Hair Cuttery. Gas station. Highways. Pool tables, pubs.Food & drinks: Food is always well stocked, clean, fresh and a variety.”

“I'm currently a guest here my room is quite nice. I have a walk-in rainfall shower with a seemingly endless supply of hot water. The kitchenette is perfect for those staying for a while and a nice work area with a desk and comfy chair. The hotel has recently undergone a renovation and will find them clean, comfortable, and well maintained. There is also a laundry, workout area. You have a little of both worlds, surrounded by a beautiful wooded, it's a quiet retreat area, yet close to the business area and shopping. I have found the staff very accommodating and kind.”

“This hotel was great from the staff to location to breakfast being one of the best I've ever been to in a hotel. The only reason the room didn't get 5 stars was the shower, water gets insanely hot and with the way the doors are there is no way to escape being under it but once you can figure out the right temp, it's a nice shower.”

“First time at an Extended Stay ever. Reception was smooth and friendly, went without a hitch, room was clean and the sheets were fresh. The front desk were super respectful and helpful about learning how utilize to utilize their amenities.Housekeeping was very kind and respectful of privacy. “Stayed for just one night with my brother who is disabled. I asked for a first floor room since he is a smoker and would be going out front to smoke a few times during the day, just to make it easier for him to come back and forth to the room. Room was ok. Microwave, small fridge, desk and swivel chair, another single chair with an ottoman, small coffee maker with tea bags, coffee pods, packs of sugar and dry creamer. Everything was in working order. There was traffic noise, but what do you expect, you're on a major highway. Breakfast was good. Sausage, cheese eggs, hot and cold cereal, waffles you can make yourself, juice, coffee, tea etc. Friendly staff. It's not the best place I have stayed at, and it's not the worst. Only issue I had was when I wanted to charge my phone that had 45% charge left. It was plugged in ALL NIGHT(7 HOURS) and only charged up to 87%. Usually my phone will give me a full charge within an hour.”

“After checking in we had difficulty finding our room as the entire floor all the room door plates were taken down and hidden behind wall lamps, granted this was due to on going renovations. After multiple circles on the floor lugging our luggage we located our room. Our room was ice cold and the AC blower was locked on full blast I was unable to turn down AC, we had to rush to a pre arranged wedding function and thought on our return to the room in the evening the reception would get a technician to fix it, only to be told that no technicians work at night, reception could not transfer us to another room as they were sold out, they also didn't have hair dryer in the room, we were here for a wedding and the most simplest room item was missing. Since we had no choice we had to block AC vents with two large spare pillows to block cold air flow and managed to sleep the first night. Next morning spoke to manager Hank, who was most apologetic and both the hair dryer and AC were fixed. Staff tried to help but the entire hotel needs serious upgrades swimming pool and gym were closed during our stay”

“I like the hotel, the guy who was working on the reception on the day of my check-in, he was very friendly. Now the girl who worked on Saturday night is not friendly at all. and the girl who was there on my check-out day, early on Sunday, she was also nice to me.”

“I am disgusted by the room and customer service provided by this location. When entering the room, it had a bad smell, which I figured it was probably a smoking room, I was not going to complain, and just proceeded to Lysol, as I do with any hotel/ By the time I got to the rest room area to Lysol, I was presented with a very disgusting restroom, there was feces coated in the entire perimeter of the toilet bowl as if it was stuck there for days. I went to contact the front, and their phone had no phone line. and no buttons on the phone, and called via my cellphone. The associate proceeded to tell me there were no other rooms, and I asked if I could have room service, and he informed me that there is not room service that works at night. Terrible service, terrible experience!”
