“Their new location is so big & nice!! Their selection is even bigger & easy to grab. Their quality is some of the best around & worth the price! Friendly & well staffed!”
“Joe is awesome, & it's nice that Southside superette is practically in my back yard... He practically is like family now... everytime I come into the store is like I'm walking through my frog door”
“Joe is an excellent butcher and has supplied meats for our annual sopressata making for a few years now. Always a fair price, service with a smile, and caters to our specific needs. Feels good supporting local businesses also.”
“We just moved to the area. The burgers, fries and even drinks were fresh. The food was seasoned to perfection. The portions were big and filling. We will definitely be back!”
“They have a really good meat department. Some of the sales can't be beat, $1.99 a pound chicken wings and pork chops but there's some regular groceries they are missing. Do all my meat shopping here but regular groceries at Aldi's”
“I have only lived here two years, I lived by Gibsonia before I moved to this area. I really like Shop N Save, I noticed that the store is neat and clean. The meats really caught my eye, you can tell that the meat is good and fresh. Deli department is great, you can actually buy a meal already made up that they wrote the price down. The bakery, rolls, fresh buns and breads are good. I imagine they have access in purchasing their meat through local farmers. I don’t usually care to shop at Shop N Saves but this one is definitely the exception, then, Cranberry Twp on Freedom Road would be my second choice. The employees at the Ellwood City store are so nice and go out of their way to help you! Really appreciate their kindness!”
“They were very kind and helpful locating the last minute items that I forgot nd needed nd then got me checked out quickly knowing that I was in a hurry for my sons gender reveal. I was greatly appreciative of all their help”

“I was kinda surprised for it being a Thursday how disheveled areas were. The produce section was a mess. I felt like they maybe didn't have enough employees working. A lot of empty areas. Just wasn't the same as I'm used to”
“This is probably my favorite Dollar General in and around my city. I think the employees are very friendly and helpful at all of the Dollar General stores, but it is the location that I like best. Also, I believe this is a new store. Many of the locations use buildings that were already there from other businesses closing, but this building was a new build and it shows. Very nice place.”
“Delicious, fresh food. Prices were great, you could tell this place is a local gem. Nice seating inside, but we got ours to go. We were able to get fresh chicken tenders and fries at 10:30am that were SO MUCH BETTER than typical gas station food. 10/10, highly recommend.”
“I love the variety of the food items and non-food items! There are so many different cool things! There was shrimp there! I feel it's a great place to shop! The sales team is very nice and made me feel welcomed! Dollar General Stores rock!”
“The workers are always so helpful and so nice. If you need anything they will try to help you find it or even put it in your car/truck. The crew is the best!!! They work so hard i always feel bad having them stop stocking or doing whatever they are doing to check me out but also greatful they do cause they are so friendly and kind no matter what. Just great staff and store altogether.”
“I just came to say that my great grandfather David Baker built this in 1950 originally. When you'd drive up it would ding, and he'd go out and pump the gas. My uncle called it Dave's Super Service. They had old fashioned candy cases and soda coolers. They sold hunting and fishing licenses and ammo because he was a hunter. Hand written price tags with a marker and an old fashioned cash register. The home was on the top level, but there was another area behind the store on the bottom level with a kitchen and living room where we used to sit and have family meals during working hours. I loved riding tractor when he'd cut the grass, before they built over it. We used to catch lightening bugs out there in the yard. He had a lovely walnut tree and a small garden out back. I was born in 72, and the station was sold in the late 80's when my great grandparents were too old to take care of it anymore. I wished those who bought it had left some of the original charms but make it nice and nostalgic instead of making i it look just like every other generic gas station out there. Lots of childhood memories here that nobody has but me and my family. I still remember the smell. I miss it so much. Best of luck to the owners.”
“Great prices, it you watch the price per unit. I always get great holiday and craft items here. Cashiers are pleasant and helpful. Aisles are a bit tight, though, it someone wants to walk past your cart.”
“My favorite Dollar General.. Very clean, well stocked (when ppl aren't panic shopping) .. the staff are very friendly and helpful and the Manager Jess is a doll .. thank you for helping me the other day”
“Cute little ma and pop grocery store with many items you can't get anywhere else. I feel like this is the only authentic Italian/ middle Eastern supply store we have. They do have a great collection of organic , gluten-free, and non gmo options, considering they are a small store. What is also unique is that they have coffee shop attached, so you can take care of 2 stops at once.”
