Tropic Pet Center Inc
381 S Main St, Wilkes-BarrePurchased a miniature poodle here in June of 2019. Bonnie was the woman who took care of us. It’s been years and I still remember her name because that’s how caring and thoughtful she was. I visited the store multiple times and all the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. My poodle is the most amazing dog. She’s 3 now!

PetSmart
427 Arena Hub Plaza, Wilkes-BarreI am so incredibly happy with the job that Mei did- cocker spaniels are extremely high maintenance and unfortunately my pup has a lot of matting on this visit. Mei did an incredible job taking her time on him to preserve what she could of his length and even where it needed to be adjusted she did a seamless job blending- can not wait to go back to her!

Wags Doggy Spa
152 Horton Street Rear, Wilkes-BarreWags Indoor Dog Park has truly saved me. My dog, Joy, has struggled with reactivity for several years and she got worse within the last two. No vet or dog trainer was willing to help get to the root of the cause. I tried several training programs, prescription medication from her veterinarian, and all the calming treats you can imagine. Every place considered her a “troublemaker” and a nuisance, never explaining or sharing what I could do to help her.I was so worried I would hear the same problems when I took Joy to Wags. But to my shock, I heard amazing feedback. Not only that, but after I boarded her for a weekend, she was so happy and calm when I returned (compared to her being even more anxious and distraught following a kennel stay elsewhere). When I hit a breaking point with Joy (couch #2 was about to be chewed to pieces), Wags graciously added her to their overnight bootcamp. They updated me almost every day, have provided me with resources, and truly want Joy and I to be set up for success.I have never felt so supported and validated in the difficulty of owning a very smart yet complicated dog.Joy returned home yesterday and so far she is handling being in her crate EXTRAORDINARILY well (for reference, she’s broken teeth trying to bust out of old crates). She was calm entering the crate, knew I would return home, and was patiently waiting when I got back. We are excited to implement the tools given to us over the next three weeks to ensure she maintains her behavior and skills. I am finally able to breathe and be at peace, and more importantly, so is Joy?

Bonnie's Groom Gallery
380 New Grove St, Wilkes-BarreAbsolute 10 out of 10 experience with Bonnie and her niece! My cat was in bad shape and needed a flea bath plus groomed. Alot of places I called didn't even groom cats but she did, even though cats are difficult to groom. He is a long hair cat and he had matting as well. When I got him back home and looked at him, he looked like a new cat! She got all the fleas off, brushed all the mats out, cut the fur by his butt(I asked her to because when he uses the litter box sometimes he gets dirty) also his stomach and back leg where he had a bad mat. He smelled so good and looked so handsome, she brushed him all out. Some people think cats don't need to be groomed but they do! I highly suggest Bonnie and she is reasonably priced. Thanks to her I was able to flea bomb the house while he got groomed and finally put a stop to these fleas!!

Pet Sitting & Training

K-9 Korner Inc
734 Wilkes Barre Township Blvd, Wilkes-BarreTheir groomer Sophia is the only person I'll ever allow to groom my shaggy little guy, who's basically a giant shih tzu. She gives a perfect shaggy but neat haircut. Boarding here is also great-- just make sure your dog is up to date on shots and kennel cough vaccine. They take it seriously, which is good.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Flaming Crab Wilkes-Barre
marketplace, 2198, Wilkes-BarreI can’t say enough good things about Jada at Flamin Crab! From the moment we were seated, she was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely attentive. She took the time to explain the menu, answer all of our questions, and even offered great recommendations based on our preferences. Throughout the meal, she checked in to make sure everything was perfect without being intrusive, and she handled everything with a smile and such a positive attitude. Jada really went above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable, and her professionalism and warmth made the meal feel extra special. Service like hers is rare and truly makes you want to come back again and again. Thank you, Jada, for going out of your way to make our visit memorable!

Jerusalem Halal Market
217 George Ave, Wilkes-BarreI love this place so much. It's my favorite restaurant in Wilkes-Barre. We just moved here and found it within walking distance. I usually get the lamb kabsa, but I've also sampled the biryani. The tabbouleh is off the charts good. The hummus is a dream. I love that the kabsa is different every time. Sometimes the spices are different, sometimes there are different vegetables. Delicious every single time. So grateful my neighborhood is blessed by the presence of this lovely family owned establishment.

Cork Bar & Restaurant
463 Madison St, Wilkes-BarreWe had a great dinner at Corks. We started with the Cork Salad and the Harvest Pear Salad. For our entrees my wife had the Chicken Marsala, and I had the Peach Whiskey Pork Filet. Both are ample portions, as we took some home. For dessert we shared a Tiramisu with our coffee. Wine complimented our dinners, and an Espresso Martini was an addition to it.
