“Far and away the most hipster comic book shop and potentially shop shop I’ve ever been to. One of the employees was working a loom in the middle of the store. That being said, great little shop serving a need for all the nerds on the island. Excellent selection of new and old comics.”
“First time I went in I sat myself on the floor and spent about 3(?) hours perusing the many shelves. Second time i spent significantly less because i was on my lunch break. Both times i left with treasure, and I never felt hurried, in the way or just another source of money to the staff. They love to chat and make you feel at home. My favorite part though, is that you can actually handle the books - and the more expensive ones aren't kept out of reach like you were a child eating candy with sticky fingers. They are welcoming, and seem truely appreciative of those who come in that value the experience a book has to offer. The selection is vast, and fairly well organized, though a little intimidating if you are looking for that ONE book. They have had specials each time ive gone in that just cant be beat. One day soon, I hope to be able to properly look through those books in the cupboards with glass doors and be able to take one of those home with me... ???”
“We came in talking about bluey, and the wonderful staff, not only looked after us, but gave us all sorts of colouring schematics to help my kids draw each of the characters”
“NEW, Used and Rare… I found after speaking with the staff, that about 75% of the books are actually new. Prices of small used pocket books for adults start at $5.99 children novels $3.99…yes you have to look for the deals, but the staff was super helpful in directing me. Hidden treasures in every isle.”
“Oh my! This is a magical place. Books, art and journaling supplies, pens, Washi tape, puzzles, book bags…you name it, it’s here. I could have spent hours here. I bought Anne of Green Gables…which btw had several shelves dedicated to the title many hard and soft covers to choose from. Definitely stop by!”
