“The room has everything you need and clean. The staff are friendly. But no elevator/lift for this hotel. It is abit old but everything is good. The person preparing for breakfast is very efficient and replenish everything before it ran out as there were a big crowd. Waffles, potatoes, scrambled eggs and sausage patties for breakfast. There are also cereals, bread/toast, juice, coffee/tea and yogurt.

Rooms: Clean double queen beds”

“Very nice hotel, very good standard! Clean and spacious room, rather well soundproofed despite the location close to the main roads, we did not hear any noise. The restaurant on site is excellent and the quality/quantity/price ratio is good!”

“Mauricio Villalobos contacted me prior to arrival and offered me VIP service and support. I felt like I had a friend, who. I could rely upon in a city I had never visited and felt apprehensive to navigate. Mauricio stayed in close contact and was attentive and friendly and made me feel at home and special. This type of attention is so important to travelers and builds loyalty. I am so appreciative.”

“I stayed at this hotel with a family of 4 and it was excellent. The suites are roomy, elevators come quickly, and the external sound was quiet. This hotel is very centrally located and the staff we very helpful in both English and French. The rooms anrent super modern, but they were clean annd didn’t feal overly outdated. Although the breakfast was continental, there had good variety and quality ingredients. The one downside that is worth mentioning is our mattress wasn’t very comfortable.”

“The Intercontinental is a classy hotel but not snobby! You can still get around in leisure wear or go to their wonderful restaurant, Osco, as I did, in a T shirt and jeans! The check-in staff, Irene, was friendly and welcoming. Our room on the 25th floor had great views across Montreal. It was quiet, spacious (enough room to lay out suitcases), well appointed and well finished and maintained (as one would expect) and comfortable. Warm coloured carpets and furnishings, a large TV, a very large firm bed and excellent pillows. The bathroom was a good size, excellent large towels and great water pressure. The tea making facilities were average with only paper cups to use. The hotel has a great bar and restaurant and is above a glass roofed public walkway that has a great bagel coffee cafe and a food court (and a piece of the Berlin Wall!). It is a short walk to the old town sights, Chinatown and the old port. It's not cheap (around C$300 pn) and for that price I expect a few more complimentary additions, like breakfast and better in room consumables like water, juice and better tea/coffee making options. But, it is a very good hotel and an enjoyable place to stay.

Safety: Very safe area

Walkability: Close to all tourist attractions

Food & drinks: Great bar and restaurant. Two coffee shops in the building.”

“The room I stayed in was exceptional. The bed and view were to die for. But the highlight was the breakfast. A young dark-haired lady with glasses who served me, was very pleasant, very smiling and made my stay unforgettable. Thanks to her and all the hotel employees.”

“Food & drinks: This review is for the cafe only!My partner and I enjoyed our time at the cafe. The location is convenient and the space is cozy. I took one star away because the matcha was not great quality, but my partner enjoyed his cappuccino.”
