“Produce is good but expensive unless there's a particular special. Otherwise, I love Tondreau for when I want to spoil myself or others with ~fancier~ products. Expect to find items you may not find at other grocery stores!”

“What a nice store! Clean! The display it's done with a lot of taste. Stuff very professional, make you feel welcome.

Special thank you to Loic at the Bucher department who took his time to explain and educate myself and my husband about the different specialized meat they ate selling!
People like Loic makes you feel like you want to come back witch is not happening everyday.

In my opinion Pasquier it's our Galerie la Fayette in France.

Bravo!”

“This market has products from Portugal and Brazil. There was a day when the attendant spoke to us in Portuguese. I don't know if everyone speaks Portuguese. It's a shame there's no parking space near this market, so it's difficult to go there often.”

“I live around the corner and just moved back from Paris, and have been missing my daily croissants badly. I saw that Frenco was offering croissants for just $1.45 and I had to try it! It was fantastic and so flaky, and the store has a great concept and layout as well: very cozy, with space to sit and eat, work, and get a coffee, as well as shop for your zero-waste groceries, which is a great concept. So happy to be living around the corner from this spot - can’t wait to come back!”

“Been going to Segals for years and they still rock!! Best prices in town and tonssss of vegan options - even things I can’t find elsewhere! Bring your bags and your patience - it’s crowded and narrow, but everyone is patient and we work together to make it harmonious for everyone. Love that this place exists - please, never change!”

“Una tienda con muchos artículos a descubrir. Las chicas que atienden a pesar de no dominar mucho el idioma son muy amables, nada que la buena voluntad de servir pues superar. Debemos ayudar a nuestras tiendas locales sin importar la procedencia de quienes atienden, así enriquecemos la multiculturalidad que caracteriza a la ciudad.”

“The meat is almost always exceptional, and in the worst case, it remains "only" very good haha! The place often has interesting specials, and the variety of vegetables is always nice and fresh. I've never had a bad experience shopping there.

In addition, there is a nice selection of bulk snack foods and Quebec beers. We love this place!

“This This PA store location still looks new, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s located underneath the Westbury condo, making it convenient for residents and nearby hotel guests. Free parking is available for shoppers for up to one hour. While the aisles aren’t very wide, the store offers a good variety of items, including ready-to-eat sandwiches and hot foods.”

“Excellent service from Danny! Very good advice on tapas. In addition, Danny gave me a sheet that I found great because it shows the type of bites as well as the cooking times. Awesome ! So, it made my evening easier because I bought a very good variety of appetizers that I can prepare in record time and sit down for an aperitif with my guests. Thank you Danny and see you soon!”

“Went in here to pick up some tasty steaks for a small Father's Day BBQ. The steaks did not disappoint. It was a picky crowd with everyone wanting different wellness, but I tried my best and pulled it off. Very tender and perfectly seasoned! I will pick these up again for sure!”

“The place is generally good, but the shop owner is not as friendly to some customers compared to others. He probably thinks some of us can’t afford anything when we come there considering how he looks at you! Sir, by the time someone comes to your shop it means they have money to buy and should be treated with respect. I commend the older lady and the older gentleman, they are so polite. The son should learn from them. And I have the 4 stars because of them.”

“Ode to tranquility

On Saturday mornings, at Super Condiments, two types of customers stand out: those who know and those who don't know that the door needs a little push to close. Besides, they look the same: people who come to have a leisurely lunch and sip their favorite drink in a friendly, brightly airy and a little dusty space. Some are chatting, others are tapping, some have their heads in the clouds, others with their eyes fixed on the chessboard.

For breakfast, the menu is reduced to the essentials: waffles ($15), oatmeal ($10), super tartine ($18), ham and butter ($12) and boiled eggs ($10). Of the lot, the latter seem the most popular with regular customers, perhaps for their affordable side, but above all for their fun and soothing aspect: the blissful dip of bread sticks in runny egg yolk.

If your appetite requires more consistency, you can find this rich marriage of yeast dough and egg heart with the tasty super tartine. Adorned with a creamy feta cream, sprinkled with pistachios and spiced with pepper flakes, it is enjoyed with a small fresh salad which announces the imminent arrival of spring.

If your palate has a sweet tooth, the traditional waffle with maple syrup and blueberries will bring back those sweet memories of late weekend lunches. With its large cells and soft flesh, it soaks up the precious amber liquid and melts delicately under the tooth.

Also consider putting a little pink on your table with this buttered ham with toast. Once again, a timeless classic that you will immerse in your companion's egg. The bread is toasted and therefore crunchy, more difficult to cut and chew. A neighbor at the table also seemed to find the grinding painful and gave the impression of engaging in intense jaw training.

The short menu therefore brings together good dishes likely to please everyone, but, in my opinion, the greatest pleasure is found elsewhere: in the tranquility of the place and the kindness of the service.

A smiling young lady, with pierced noses and ears, wearing a red ponytail, welcomed us and treated us with cordiality and attention. Its presence enhances the feeling of good nature and serenity that emanates from the white walls, the wood of the furniture, the tulips in their bottles and the large hanging light bulbs.

We then begin to daydream... until a cold draft cracks our reverie. We get up, close the door and say to ourselves: “These must be new customers”.

We would have stayed there longer, but we have to share and give others the chance to enjoy it. A quick trip to Super Condiments, what do you think?

Vegetarian options: Everything except buttered ham

Parking: On Van Horne, parking is paid. On the other hand, you can find free parking for two hours on perpendicular streets.

Kid-friendliness: Yes, it's a family restaurant. You can also bring your docile dog there.

Wheelchair accessibility: No... There is a small step.”

“I was very happy in my browsing to be able to find lots of products I felt comfortable buying as I continue to boycott corporations who contribute to genocide.

I wish they were open a bit later so I could stop by on my way home from work during the week but otherwise I’ve never had anything approaching negative feedback or any bad experiences here, staff are happy to assist and don’t get in your face which I like.”
