“Excellent local meat shop with always fresh meat and quality produce. The takeout food counter is a great bonus — tasty, fresh, and convenient. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely one of the best spots for fresh meat and great value.”

“I was driving past this location and stopped in to get my groceries. My first time in this location. I really don’t know why the newer IGA’s have their stores designed like a corn maze. I walked two kilometres and still didn’t find everything I wanted. Certainly the produce was fresh, but I gave up trying to find fresh chicken. Lots of other meats, cheeses, and , of course, aisles of beer and wine and coolers and beer and wine…….nice staff, friendly and very efficient at the check-out. Lots of parking with several handicap spots near the door. Store is definitely wheel chair accessible but you will be putting on the miles! Good products if you ever figure out the floor plan.”

“Nice decent Asian store. Visited for goat meat and as promise by owner the meat was fresh and tasty. I saw many Indian items in the store with dozens of Indian spices. Pretty organized and all products with respective price labels (many stores does not keep the price tags). I like the store location with ample of parking spots.
I gave one star less because, I feel some items are pretty pricey. Owner was helpful, friendly not only in the store but over the phone call too. For sure will visit again!!”
“This store is the cleanest store in the area and my compliments go to the Viau family. The produce area as you enter is always nice and fresh and the service is exceptional and helpful. The shelves throughout the store are always well stocked with a good assortment of local Quebec products and just about everything you need for your households. The cashier area does slow down sometimes depending on the time of day but that is expected. All that said the owners, the Viau family, deserve a hats off for all the hard work and planning that goes into a well setup and efficient grocery store. ? Mega.”

“Very sweet and helpful owners the wife and husband. The store have alot of items even ones not found in any other stores . If you ask them they get the item in their next delivery if possible. My son goes and gets groceries , he is a teenager but they help him throughout his shopping and lets. Him use the phone if needed. The prices are nice too. You need alot time to check allll the items they have lol … love it . I highly recommend this store for Indian Pakistani items . ?”

“New owner thrives in costumer service, never disappointed, well located next to Costco. Food really good when you don’t feel like spending hours in the kitchen. The Asian hors d’oeuvres are you die for, the cabbage rolls are amazing. Perfect frozen meals to have in your freezer and they come in different sizes from individual to family size. Love it”

“Very nice, clean store. Very helpful staff, minimal lineup at the cash. However, it is pricey and I only go for the sales, which are very comparable do the many local competition. Fresh produce is above average in quality.”
“Provigo has surprisingly way better deals then some of the others for select products. ESCA water 24 pack was $3. Never seen that before.

“Mainly very good but watch the fish monger. He's not always truthful and the prepared seafood is not always fresh. Bought seafood he said was prepared today but dated 3 days previous and was off. Returned but still a bother.”

“So this is a Hole in the wall kindove place but I love sketchy places you always find interesting things and I always go in with no expectations. This store holds lots of Chinese food and health supplies. I came in for a particular item called "Zheng Gu Shui" its the miracle oil to help rid of pain and to my luck They had it at the store for 9$ pretty happy I got 2 bottles ! I love trying different healthy & natural remedies to alleviate pain instead of a generic drug that stops working after 4 hours. Tons of interesting items from overseas and random things you can not think of they got it. The place is a bit run down and it seems like it doesn't have regular hours of operation but we were lucky to have it open when we were there. Overall, great find and totally recommend hopefully it will still be open next time we come back for more of that miracle oil bottle for chronic pain. It works like a charm.”

The main issue is that they only accept cash or debit cards, and the receipts are unclear, as they only display the price and quantity but do not list the item names.”
“Purchased some nice Filet Mignon on special here. The stock was ample and the butchered cuts were of perfect size. It turned out to be fantastic quality my entire family thoroughly enjoyed. Parking is ample and there is never a long line to checkout.”

“Actual humans work at this store. I’ll never set foot in Maxi because it’s a stressful experience, but I actually enjoy shopping here and not feeling like cattle. Prices are not higher, especially if you shop the sales. Love love love the staff who work here and the overall shopping experience.”
