Our experience was in purchasing a sofa and area rug so we will tell you about our experience. We found Cameo Collection through an AI search in Safari. The request was for a condo sized quality sofa, made in Quebec, preferably in Montreal, and where there may be a showroom where we could see their products. I asked the search to be conducted on the best reviews from consumers and Cameo Collection was the first to pop up. Buying Canadian in these times was the driving force for us and we decided to explore this manufacturer further. Not only is the sofa we purchased solidly built, Canadian maple framing, stylish and right priced, it was delivered within 2 weeks. It could have been delivered sooner but we also purchased an area rug and the wait time for it was 2 weeks so we agreed to have everything delivered at once. This is an important point because we had a ridiculous experience with Tanguay Lasalle (we did eventually get a full refund but the situation did get out of hand). They requested full payment to guarantee a delivery date within 8 weeks. Five months later, we still had not received our sofa and they stopped taking our calls. Now with the tariff war, it is likely to be worse. We were lucky to recover our funds. We had the pleasure of dealing directly with the owners of Cameo Collection, Natalie and Zareh, who were kind, generous and so accommodating. They are so forthcoming and genuine, they even gave us a tour of their production area where 2 dozen crafts people were working, and have been in their employ for decades. Even their delivery team were efficient, respectful of our home and arrived on time. That says a lot in this day and age. I did read 2 very bad reviews in Cameo’s website that make absolutely no sense given the very favorable experience we had. These reviews are hosted by Yelp and should be removed, at least the one dated 2010 by a disgruntled individual…. If you want relevant reviews, consult Google reviews. I would not hesitate to recommend Cameo Collection for any type of furniture and accessories you may require for your home or business. And made right here in Montreal.”
“Whenever we visit Montreal from Western NY, we try to swing by IKEA. It's only 10 minutes from my in-laws and now that we have a van, we can actually buy some toys and furniture for our 2 year old. I haven't been to any other IKEAs in last decade, so I can't compare. However it seems like a big IKEA with all its offerings. They have a large cafeteria and parking is surprisingly well laid out (or maybe I just got lucky with finding a spot).”

Bob's Discount Furniture is growing while its competitors shrink. The Manchester, Connecticut-based retailer reported strong fourth-quarter results in its first earnings call since going public in February, with revenue climbing 8.2% to $648.8 million. Full-year net revenue jumped 16.8% to $2.4 billion, and net income rose to $121.7 million from $87.9 million the prior year. CEO Bill Barton told analysts the company plans to open about 20 new stores in 2026 and sees a path to more than 500 locations by 2035, roughly two and a half times its current 209-store footprint across 26 states.
Wayfair is testing a new, smaller store design. The online home furnishings giant, famous for its endless digital catalog, is trying a different strategy for its physical locations. The company announced plans to open a smaller prototype store in Columbus, Ohio, scheduled for late 2026. Located next to the Polaris Fashion Mall, the new space will span approximately 70,000 square feet.
Online furniture giant Wayfair is setting up shop in Atlanta with plans for a huge 150,000-square-foot store opening in 2026. The new location will take over the former Walmart space at The District at Howell Mill shopping center. This marks Wayfair's second big store, following its first location that opened in Wilmette, Illinois, in May 2024.
