“Staff are very polite and friendly. No self checkouts, THANKYOU!. One of the reasons I drive the extra miles to shop at IGA rather than Metro which is much closer.”
“I like the Provigo here, it's smaller compared to the other Provigos in the city but sometimes I find very good deals here. They have a good selection of produce, fruit, other brands, and of course their brand. Their bakery section is very good, and I find the prices are better than IGA. I often go here for the local farm eggs, great price and local!! And the eggs are delish. I really appreciate the local support. ❤️?”
“The local grocery store of the place. The Metro brand has been established in town for a long while now, it belongs to it. It’s a Metro Plus, meaning it’s not the supermarket thing but it’s the proper size for the place and it knows how to provide you with what you need.”
“Shopping at Super C located at 250 Bd Fiset is always a smooth experience, but my recent visit truly exceeded expectations. From the moment I walked through the doors, the store's organization and impressive selection was immediately noticeable, making the entire trip a genuine pleasure. What stood out most was the incredible attention to detail throughout the aisles. All of the racks were promptly and meticulously arranged, with products fully stocked and aligned. Even the open pallets in the corridors—which can often make a store feel chaotic—were stacked with remarkable neatness and care. It was clear the team takes pride in keeping the aisles clear, accessible, and safe for shoppers. Best of all, I noticed lots of price reductions across multiple departments, making it easy to grab great deals throughout my run. The clean layout allowed me to find everything on my list quickly and effortlessly, turning what is usually a routine errand into a delightfully seamless task. Bright lighting and well-kept displays further enhanced the overall atmosphere. It was truly delightful visiting and shopping at this location. The hardworking staff on Bd Fiset clearly prioritize both store upkeep and great value for their customers. I will certainly be returning for my regular grocery runs and highly recommend this clean, budget-friendly, and exceptionally organized Super C to anyone looking for a hassle-free shopping trip!”
“Being from the U. S., Shopping in Quebec is a new experience. I found this grocery store to be super convenient, easy to locate products and friendly customers. I definitely made a friend at the produce section. I commented to my traveling partner that I really felt at ease in the store.”
The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
