“This is a large gym with plenty of up-to-date, clean and functional equipment. It can get pretty busy at peak times. However it is worth the price. The only downside is some of the employees are unfriendly.”
“Overall, this is a solid/friendly gym and well taken care of unlike Pro Fitness (cleanliness is also on point), but there are some quirks with the equipment that hinder my experience. Watson equipment has an elite reputation for high quality products, however I find some of the equipment awkward and bulky. Let’s start with the dense Watson dumbbells….
The weight distribution is horrendous making it awkward. Not only that…..the handles spin, so as you go heavier in weight it feels super unstable. The awkward weight distribution starts around 35-40 lb making chest and shoulder workouts unenjoyable and unbalanced. At other gyms I was always able to dumbbell flat bench press 70 lb for reps. With the Watson dumbbells I can barely push 70 for 6-8 reps. I find myself getting tired out quickly.
There is another set of dumbbells, which are a lot better, but still a little off. Round urethane dumbbells are the way to go.
The T-Bar row and lateral row machines are bulky, awkward, and uncomfortable.
I know Revival is expanding, but my gosh….I truly cannot deal with more Watson equipment.”
“Whether you jump into a class or try the circuit training, both are a blast and a serious workout. The instructors are always there to guide you, making sure you’re learning proper form while keeping the energy high. They’re super motivating, and even as a beginner, I felt totally welcome and supported from day one.
If you’re looking to learn self-defense, get stronger, or just let out some stress with a healthy dose of aggression—this is definitely the place for you.”

“I remember coming to this BlockBuster as a child; the smell of the air somewhere in between a Staples and a public library, the fluorescent lights that consistently flickered, and the seeming yellow hue that casted over the walls and walls of VHS tapes. I visited often with my now-estranged father, though I never remember what we actually rented. After picking out an appropriately G-rated movie, we would drive back home and load up the microwave with popcorn, inevitably burning it every time. The popcorn bowl was a giant blue plastic behemoth that no one ever remembered buying, like it just appeared in the kitchen one day through an act of God. “5 + stars. Every class I attend (5 a week) is energizing. The trainers and coaches put 100+ % of effort into each class incorporating different workouts each class. I am amazed at the individual attention everyone in class receives to make sure you are doing the exercise correctly or to customize the exercise to the individuals needs. Trainers have helped me thru double hip surgery and shoulder. The Zumba class with Lauren is so much fun, a great workout and brings such positive energy to the class.

“I've been taking kickboxing classes here 3-4x a week for 2.5 months now, and I highly recommend checking this place out. I was going to wait a little longer before writing a review, but I honestly do not see myself stopping any time soon.The instructors are all so friendly and accommodating and really care about your progress. Chris makes me burn extra calories by making me laugh during workouts (just by being him, sorry not sorry Chris lol), Jennell is a genuine sweetheart, and Hannah's workouts are hard af (in the best possible way).There's plenty of classes to choose from & no pressure to do anything more than what you've signed up for. The other gym members are really friendly too, so it feels like a community. The gym itself is very clean & well maintained, despite having two cats roaming around, which is a miraculous feat imo as a cat owner myself. (The cats are like 50% of the reason I joined-- come for the workout, stay for the cats.)I've already lost a little bit of weight (despite not changing my diet very much which is the biggest factor anyway) & more importantly, I feel better and am not getting as winded during workouts. I can really feel myself getting healthier.Even without all the above, the number one thing I appreciate the most about this gym is I feel like I can just be myself without judgement. As someone who sometimes struggles with social anxiety but also needs a fitness class to go to so I can be held accountable, this is huge. I don't ever feel out of place or put down or less than any other gym member; everyone is on equal footing, regardless of fitness level. I also don't feel like just another anonymous face coming in and out of the gym without ever speaking to anyone. Like I said earlier, it feels like a community. One that I hope to be a part of for a long time. So please come, say hi to Holly and Boogie (the cats), and Just Train. You won't regret it.”

I trained at Ocean State Gym before it closed, this ones got similar equipment and environment. Locker room could use a renovation but who’s really complaining. Good place whether you like to train hard or you’re new to exercising. I recommend coming here if you’re serious about lifting or starting a routine.”
“I really love Planet Fitness! There’s such a great variety of machines and equipment, including the True Stretch apparatus and PX90-style gear. I also appreciate the clean showers and changing rooms, which make it easy to fit in a workout before or after work.
The massage chairs and HydroMassage beds are a wonderful bonus, and the in-gym monitors with guided exercises help keep me motivated. I also love that there are plenty of PF locations near both my home and workplace.
The hours are super convenient, the free weights are well-maintained, and best of all—it’s very affordable. Working out at Planet Fitness has become one of the best parts of my routine!”
