“Can’t say enough about George J and this business. Had a road trip coming up on a Wednesday and car needed some repairs, our other car had been totaled the week before. He didn’t have time or the room, but replaced a wheel bearing for us on Monday. After I noticed some noise from the front, I called him and they replaced the cv axle and serviced the transfer case, after hours because they were extremely busy all day, and got us on the road. Car ran great on the road trip and his prices were better than anywhere around. If you’re looking for a good local mechanic this spot should be your first choice. -Alex”

“My son had reoccurring issues with a tire. J&S found a cracked rim. This was a 2nd hand car for us and the situation wasn’t an easy fix. We worked with Casey… she was super professional, had excellent communication and gave us options. I was very impressed by the overall service provided. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be repeat customers.”

“We were on vacation with family when our check engine light started blinking on the way to Providence to go to church Sunday morning. We had driven up from Georgia and weren't sure what we were going to do. We called Taylor's on Monday and they cautioned us that there was a two-week backup, but they would advise us. On Tuesday we were able to pick up our car and it has not been a problem since. We were so grateful they fit us in and repaired our car so we could get home.”

“Absolutely great job. My 2003 911 Porsche looks like brand new! They even got out small scratches that other more expensive detailors could not. Easy to work with, worked to accommodate my schedule. Their price was very reasonable for the quality of the work. If you want your car to look great these are the people.”

“Flood Mazda makes the car buying/leasing experience WONDERFUL!! My family & I started going to Flood 5 years ago because we were disgusted & frustrated with the Mazda dealer in Cranston. We keep going back & have recommended the dealership to several friends because they make car buying easy. Unlike most dealerships, Flood doesn’t treat you like just a number & they’re upfront about price. From Gregory in sales, Cody in finance, & the GM Russ, everyone treats you like family.”

“CJP did an absolutely remarkable job on my BMW. Very skilled professionals. Cory and Steven are obsessed with the smallest details to get the job right. Given the sheer amount of detailed work, price was very fair. They stand by their work. CJP represents the very finest in the Detailing trade. It is rare to meet honest, straight forward professional. In fact i'm going back for some interior work as well. Just spectacular.”

“First time going here for service. Highly recommended by mom so there is that. Plus a small shop in a tiny town loaded with vehicles is always a good sign. They staff are super friendly and they did a great job on my XTS. I got tires, oil change and tuneup. Price is very reasonable and I will definitely utilize them. There 20 minutes from my house and I would still say it’s worth the trip. They seem very trustworthy and I’m very happy with the results. Thank you again for taking care of me.”

“I was rear ended recently and took my truck to Mikes. They made the insurance process easy and took care of everything, even helped out with setting up the rental. I elected to have the damage estimate done there and they got it done with no need for any supplemental estimates. The repairs were pretty extensive but they got the job done within 2 weeks of receiving my vehicle. When I picked it up it was spotless, freshly cleaned interior and polished/waxed exterior. The truck looked better than brand new when they were done with it! To Mike, Mike Jr. and the team, thanks for all the help and great job on the repairs!”

“Jamie at DePaul is a kind and knowledgeable PRO. I had a seawater hose clamp break causing melting of a plastic secondary muffler and a near fire because of overheat of the exhaust system. By luck I noticed no water coming from exhaust and shut it down, the coolant did not leave the engine. The thick smoke was terrifying but had not ignited yet. Needless to say I was worried I lost the engine. DePaul was extremely busy but Jamie was a voice of reason and logic and took the time to call me and talked me through how to see what damage there was. For NO CHARGE he shared years of priceless knowledge with me. We were lucky, we caught this before any damage to the engine was done. He did not have to take this time and I appreciate his generosity and expertise. BTW, I highly recommend an inexpensive exhaust heat alarm on every boat as insurance that you don’t ever experience a scary situation like this that can result in a fire and or terminal damage to a boat and your safety. And of course, get DePaul to install it! DePaul is our first choice for diesel work whenever they are available.”

“I wanted to take a moment to recognize two outstanding employees who made my repair experience exceptional—Eric and Molly. Eric did an amazing job overseeing all of the work on my truck. He kept me informed throughout the entire process, explaining what was being done, when it would be completed, and making sure I always knew what to expect. His communication and professionalism gave me complete confidence that my truck was in great hands. Molly was equally incredible. She always greeted me with a smile and took the time to explain every step of the process. She made sure I understood what the insurance company needed, who I needed to speak with, and always offered the best advice. She went above and beyond to make everything as easy and stress-free as possible. Together, Eric and Molly made what could have been a difficult experience go incredibly smoothly. Their professionalism, communication, and genuine care for their customers are outstanding. They are a tremendous asset to your company, and I truly appreciate everything they did for me. Please let them know how much their hard work and dedication are appreciated. Thank you again for such outstanding service.”

“Outstanding Care for Classic Cars & Top-Tier Service! Took my '69 Corvette to Melvin’s Tire, and they did an incredible job. They were extremely meticulous when mounting the tires to make sure the wheels were not damaged in the slightest. The turnaround was fast, they installed the white lettering facing out exactly as requested, and even took the extra time to wash off the factory blue protective dye. At one point, four guys teamed up to knock the job out of the park. Hands down the best experience I have ever had at a tire shop. Incredibly impressive teamwork and customer service. If you value your time and money, this is the shop to go to!”
47 E Main Rd, Portsmouth RI 02871
“These guys are amazing. After a minor fender bender I brought my BMW into Sarge's for an estimate and repair. Joey provided a very fair job estimate and a 3 day time table once the car was in the shop. On my appointment day (Monday) I brought it in and on Wednesday drove it home. The results were so perfect that it is impossible to tell any work was done. Highly recommended - from a very finicky BMW owner.”

“If you want your car fixed right without new problems, go here. All the other places in town will make a mountain out of a mole hole, or you will leave with one problem fixed, and have a new problem nearby the area you had serviced. I fix what I can to save some money, but if I ever get into a complex issue, I go here. I learned the hard way to be patient for an appointment or my car would have been all set months ago. Also, these guys won't fix something and let you leave until the owner and master mechanic test the car to be sure there are no other concerns hiding. This town is full of haters and hearsay. These guys are the best around, hands down.”

“Everything went well and the communication on the status of my car was above my expectations. However, I did specify the horn never worked and made an appointment for an oil change two weeks in advance. The horn was not ordered and I need to go back. This review is a comment, not a criticism.”

“I had a fantastic experience at CJ’s Tire & Auto Repair in Middletown, RI. From start to finish, their professionalism stood out. The owner (Chris) was knowledgeable and made me feel confident that my car was in good hands. What impressed me was their clear communication—they took the time to explain what needed to be done, why it was necessary, and what my options were. There were no surprises, just honest and straightforward service. Even better, their pricing was very reasonable, and they were more than willing to work with my budget to ensure I could get back on the road safely without breaking the bank. It’s rare to find an auto shop that balances quality service with genuine care for its customers, but CJ’s absolutely delivered. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking for trustworthy, skilled, and accommodating auto repair services. They even have a cool dog to keep you company! -Darwin”

“I was three hours from home when my A/C compressor clutch started failing, and they diagnosed the problem quickly, explained everything clearly, and got the repair done right. They also fixed an exhaust leak, and my car has never sounded this quiet or driven this smooth. Honest, professional, and definitely worth the price. I’d recommend them to anyone.”
