“I haven’t actually stayed here yet but I still feel like this lovely inn and its ownership deserve a positive review from me. I booked a stay over the phone more than a month prior to when I was supposed to stay here for one night, amidst other single-evening New England stops on a road trip. Six weeks later, I was in Providence checking for confirmation of our Newport lodging spot, and could not find email or credit card confirmation. Stupidly forgetting the conversation I’d had over the phone with the owner weeks prior, I assumed that I had been scatterbrained and not actually booked where I meant to, then panic-booked a last-minute spot elsewhere in Newport for the evening. Come 6 o’clock I received a lovely voicemail from the owner asking what time she should expect us, and upon hearing her recognizable accent over the voicemail I immediately realized the error that I’d made. I called and she was incredibly kind - understanding and forgiving of my mistake. Ultimately, I would have loved to stay there and feel very dumb about how things transpired, but so grateful for how she helped to handle it. We will certainly be booking at the Sea Breeze (and making a specific note to self that we did so if we do so over the phone) in future years!”
“Enjoyed our stay here for the weekend! Very spacious rooms and fairly clean. Not too far from the town center and plenty of parking. Would recommend as a more cost effective option. Also attached to an Applebees which I’ve never seen before so that gets points too”

“Absolutely adorable property! We stayed in a dog friendly cottage with our welsh springer spaniel and had a great time. Everything was so neat and clean, comfy and convenient. The location was awesome, just outside of downtown Newport, an easy drive and super quiet!”

“This place is gorgeous! Beautiful old house with a very comfortable bed, deep tub for a bath, good location. Short drive to attractions. Staff came promptly when I had a problem with the bathtub and fixed it.”

“Lisa at the front desk is gem. She was so helpful and extremely sweet. We arrived earlier and our room wasn’t ready. She gave us places to go and recommended a few restaurants. She texted us when the room was ready. She greeted us every morning. Just the sweetest and helpful person. Thank you for being so helpful.”

“Location is excellent! Few short steps from the beach and many excellent restaurants. Staff was so kind and considerate and consistently checked in on how our stay was. Some people have been saying the rooms are a little small but we thought it was perfect size for us two! Don’t need a large room when you are gonna be out exploring Middle Town :) nice breakfast nook too, cereals, bagels, pop tarts, fruits, cookies, muffins, juices, coffee and tea! The whole place was also greatly decorated to fit the occasion of a beach vacation. Would definitely recommend anyone stay here! Rooms and entire space were kept really clean and there was even a spigot outside to wash the sand off your feet from those Long Beach days (which we really appreciated :) ) overall five star stay and very glad we chose Rhea’s inn by the sea to house us on our vacation.”
