“Really top class room. We had The Plantation Room. Tastefully decorated and the hosts had thought of everything down to the makeup face cloth, toiletries and dressing gowns. Coffee making facilities in the room which was very welcome for a couple of English guests as not all American places have this facility. Immaculate clean room with great view of the harbour. The hosts were friendly and hospitable and we were invited for wine and cheese with them in the tastefully decorated period sitting room. John and Laurence were helpful guides in where to visit and what to eat, and were able to link us to a phone map which proved very useful. Breakfast was delicious with eggs Benedict on the menu. Could not have wished for a more comfortable stay after a hectic week in NY. Top quality luxury stay in beautiful Newport.”

“Highly recommend for a couples off season weekend trip! Enjoyed my stay at the quaint, quiet and comfortable hotel. The location is perfect only a few blocks away from town for shopping and restaurants, we hardly moved our car. Staff is so welcoming and kind, we appreciated the welcome snacks. Enjoyed the continental breakfast delivered to the room, good coffee, fresh OJ, fresh baked pastries. Comfortable bed and bedding, robes, room was very clean. Will be back :)”

“Stayed here for our 1 night getaway to Newport. We stayed in the Cottage room and it was nicely private, clean and spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were are very pleasant and hospitable. The location makes you feel like you’re a local as it is on a residential street just outside the downtown area, but everything is ~10minute walking distance. The house itself is more modern and renovated than the typical inns in the area, but still gives you that New England character. Would love to come back and stay here again for a longer trip.”

“The incredible service started just moments after booking online, when I received a phone call confirming my reservations. I was able to customize the accommodations and learn more about our stay.As we pulled up to the enchanting location, we had the pleasure of being met by Kristina for a tour of the grounds.Upon arrival, we were delighted by early entry into our beautiful guest rooms. We couldn’t believe the attention to detail throughout the hotel but specifically in the accommodations. By the time we got to our room, the seamless staff beat us there with our luggage, jackets perfectly hanging in the closet. Our guest room continued to be magically perfected while we were away, with surprises waiting for us on our pillows. We returned to fresh water in the fridge, wires organized by the bed and toiletries perfect at the sink. The features in the room rivaled the quality and luxury of any five star hotels such as automated blinds, automatic fireplace, heated floors and a truly luxurious shower experience. This is a historic building with charm, but does not show signs of suchq in terms of the luxurious finishes that adorn the room. The true magic of this hotel was the staff and the seamless communication that happens behind the scenes to create magic for the guest. This was hospitality at its finest all around. Kristina told us upon arrival that they aim for their guest to not have to think about any of their needs during their stay. After witnessing first hand, I can say that the team successfully stayed one step ahead of our every possible want for the duration of our visit.”

“Perfect place to stay in Newport. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Wes who was welcoming and informative about the Lodge and surrounding area. The bed was comfortable and the room was charming. Breakfast was delicious. Coffee, teas, and a variety of juices, water, and drinks available 24/7 in dining room. Homemade chocolate chip cookies too. We were there for a wedding in Boston and decided to stay on and visit Newport and the mansions. This B and B is in a great location. Highly recommend.Nearby activities: Cliff walk and The Breakers Mansion close by.The lodge is tastefully decorated and very clean.”

“This bed and breakfast was perfect! My wife and I just spent a long weekend there and we both loved it! The innkeepers Heather and Michael were awesome! They both made the stay a fantastic experience! Breakfast was incredible! We stayed in the Perry Room which was beautiful and very clean. The room is set in the back of the house so it is nice and quiet. The house itself is located on spring street which is perfectly located one block back from Thames street. Thames street is the busy main street of Newport. Close enough to walk to it but far away from the commotion. There is a spacious parking lot that is onsite with plenty of space. We will definitely return to this AMAZING bed and breakfast!”

“This place is just fantastic! We plan to come back and bring some friends next time to share this experience with them. The wife and I have come here spur of the moment after our wedding day just to get away. Quaint, quiet, great location. Breakfast is pretty good as well!”

“I want to start by saying thanks to Chef Jacob and Andrew for making a special occasion even more special! We did the blind taste dinner and, not sure how, but every dish that came out was better than the previous one! And all of them were incredibly good! From the freshness of the ingredients, the presentation and the amazing explanation of every dish by the chef himself, everything was incredible! We can’t thank the Cara crew enough for this amazing experience!”

“1 Night Stay in November on a WeeknightWe didn't spend much time at the Pelham Court Hotel, but the convenient location, courteous staff, generous room sizes, covered parking and ability to text the employees were fantastic. You are half a block from the strip with tons of restaurants and shops so you don't need to get in your car to go eat. There is a carport with covered parking which we were able to take full advantage of (perks of coming in the offseason) with additional off-street parking behind the building. They send texts to keep you in the loop and if your room is ready before 3pm, they will text you and let you know, as well as detailed instructions for access should you opt to skip the front desk or arrive after check-in. The room we stayed in was large, clean and cozy. The gas fireplace was nice with the temperatures outside being sub 30°F, and they also had central air to control the room temperature. The kitchen came stocked with glasses (cups, champagne, wine), plates and silverware, and had a full fridge and freezer, and dishwasher. It would have been comfortable to stay here for a couple weeks, let alone just one night. The room was stocked with plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and tissues so that nothing would be an inconvenience. The bed was clean and so was our bathroom. The windows open also so if you want a breeze, that's always an option too. Our room had 2 televisions, one in the bedroom and one in the living room, and you can log into your streaming services if you would like. We just opted to find the "freebee" streaming service rather than signing in or finding cable.I truly have no complaints or regrets with this hotel and would definitely come back in the future. Rates are extremely reasonable in the offseason. They are also dog friendly.Another note: Hunter was fantastic with making sure our arrival was smooth by texting information in advance like where to park, access codes, room location, etc, and then checked in on us before heading out to make sure we had everything we needed for the evening.Walkability: Very close to the main strip with shops and restaurants.”

“Loved our stay! Great king room. Quiet location close to everything cool in Newport. The property was clean and inviting. And the staff was friendly. Also, parking was easy and free!! A few recommendations. Seriously, we found your property to be fantastic! Here's what would make it perfect. 1) Allow guests to make coffee after breakfast. Regular and decaf. Compostable coffee pods are acceptable. 2) Serve wine and snacks at your location vs. sending guests to your sister property. 3) better toilet paper. 4) Use real half and half like at breakfast vs. coffee mate. 5) A few more protein options at breakfast would be great.”

“What a lovely boutique hotel . From the moment we arrived to the time we left we were treated like family. Our room overlooked the water, was decorated in a nautical theme and clean. The staff is top-notch! Highly recommend staying here!”

“We had a really great time here! We visited in February, and it was super cold, so the hot tubs were amazing. There is an indoor and outdoor hot tub, and both were open. There is also an indoor pool that is connected to an outdoor pool. You can swim through this little tunnel thing, and it's really cool. Both indoor and outdoor pools were heated, so you could swim outside in 28 degrees. It was so cool. The girls at reception were so nice. They also served snacks and complimentary prosecco at the pool side! The only downsides were that we stayed in a separate building, so you had to walk across the street to get to the pool, and it was cold, but in the summer, it wouldn't matter. And anyway, it just meant we changed out of swim clothes before going back to the room, and there is a nice locker room with showers where you can do that. Other than that, the only rough things were the shower water pressure in our room was really bad, and the walls were really thin and the door rattled when someone in our hallway closed a door, so the noisy family next to us kept waking us up when they left early in the morning (that was probably more the noisy family's fault than the hotel though). Anyway, that's a small issue in an otherwise really awesome hotel. The location is great too, you can walk to the main area and there's plenty of restaurants. I would definitely stay again!”

“A peaceful and quiet Navy Lodge on the far side of the Newport Naval Station. Tends to attract military families in transit so be wary of screaming kids in hallways. Free breakfast 6-9am weekdays, 7-9:30am weekends. Waffles available on Sunday. We chose to stay there during October so we could enjoy Newport in the fall around halloween at a good price. Definitely worth it.Note: Navy Lodge is only available to active, reserve and retired DoD persons and their families.”

“We parked the car at the hotel on Saturday afternoon and drove home on Monday morning, and in between we walked, to the Cliff Walk, to The Breakers, to the Audrain Auto Museum, to a variety of restaurants and a few events, so the hotel was well located for our purposes. Breakfast was unusual, varied, thoughtful, and scrumptious, especially the spicy corn muffin on Monday.”

“We love this place and will definitely come back. Very central to walking to everything, she's and restaurants. The only downside was when we checked I, yes check-in is at 3 p.m. we knew that, and we used the time to walk around. We came back about 2 p.m. and the desk clerk wasn't very accommodating, meaning she really didn't make an effort to get us into a room. The hotel wasn't packed. It wasn't until the other clerk came from behind that she said something to her. All of a sudden, we had a room. It's a minor thing. I would just suggest she learn how to be a bit more customer focus instead of focusing on the "rules of timing." Or she could have said "oh I'm sorry, but there isn't anything I can do at this moment". We travel often and understand, but she wasn't very communicative that's my only negative comment.Walkability: You are right in the center of things.Food & drinks: Many restaurants within walking distance to choose from.”

“AMAZING. If we return to Newport, I hope we can get a room here again. Very old-school house, so don't expect serious tech amenities, but they definitely do their best. It is charming, the rooms are decorated beautifully, the roof deck is amazing- really worth a stay. The only complaint I have is the lack of ventilation in the bathroom- a steamy shower can be a problem when there isn't a vent or window that opens. If TV is a big deal to you, maybe ask for a room with a larger one. We didn't use the one in our room but it might have been a challenge to view from the bed if we had. Breakfast was lovely- continental, but better than the usual chain version. Service was great. Location was amazing.Walkability: Close to many restaurants, shopping, a couple mansions, museums, library, ocean views- all in walking distance.Food & drinks: Breakfast- above average for a hotel continental breakfast. Many options, charming atmosphere.”

“My daughter and her boyfriend stayed at Hammetts for their 6th anniversary. I called to see if they could do anything special for this occasion and was told they would see what they could do. Upon check in, my daughter called me thrilled they were upgraded to a beautiful harbor view room. She was so excited to stay here because of the great reviews and this just made the trip for her. She said the hotel was spotless, beautiful, and the location couldn't be beat. Kudos Hammetts for satisfying even the pickiest guest.”

“Need to up the overall rating here. A number of the low ratings are clearly from before the renovation or new building (not sure which one). The newly opened 5 or 6-story building just inside the gates is beautiful. Essentially, a commercial hotel. Our room was excellent, clean, comfortable. Great location. Newport is very expensive so it's nice to have a place for $100 a night. Stayed over on a Saturday and couldn't have asked for more.”

“I felt like I was in an old sailors rooming house, in a good way. It's old and creaky floored. They should lose the silly little tv and let the room look like the early 1800s. They gave us a duraflame log for the fireplace and it made the room feel cozy and romantic. Great location for Thames St and Broadway.”

“Stayed February 17 - 22, 2024 and this is definitely an amazing deal in Newport, especially if you've got little ones or like to be able to spread out / relax in your accommodations during a vacation.First, this is a terrific location at the end of Thames Street - a very reasonable walk up to America's Cup and beyond. The apartment we had (534) had gorgeous sunset and water views of the harbor and Pell Bridge from a spacious private balcony. The parking is free and plentiful, which is a great bonus in the tight spaces of Newport. The suites themselves are incredibly spacious. The apartment we had was two bedrooms - a King room with a full en suite bathroom and a large tub, then a smaller bedroom with two twins and a full bathroom with shower right in the hall. There were two large closets in the hall, a washer/dryer nook, and a kitchen with a Keurig, drip coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and toaster oven plus full-size fridge and freezer. The coffee area came with four Keurig pods, and several packages of Maxwell house coffee grinds, filters, some sweetener packs and creamers. I had planned ahead and brought my own coffee making supplies so this was a little bonus. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, cups, mugs, bowls, silverware, etc. No stovetop range but if you aren't really into cooking on vacation - this is perfect for morning coffee, quick breakfasts, making sandwiches, having cold drinks, fruit, popcorn for movies, anything microwavable, etc. Very convenient if you're not into getting up and going first thing! The space also had a large dining table with seating for six and we used this each morning and two night for setting up carryout food. There was also a big living room with fireplace, couch, two armchairs, lamps, and coffee table. The fire was just a wonderful touch and they will give you matches and duraflame logs down at the clubhouse for $5 a log. The log will burn 3-4 hours so it's perfect for having on during game night or a late movie. There's a flat screen in each room with DVD player and cable. They have DVDs down at the clubhouse which was so fun for our son to pick out, he'd never seen this before lolol so even though we could have just streamed on our devices via the wifi, this was a cute activity. Also for family activities, there is an indoor and outdoor pool. My husband and son used the indoor pool 3 nights - they said it was great and there are locker rooms to dry off in. Be aware that in the cold weather, the indoor pool does not have hallway access and you will need to go outside after you swim to get back to the rooms. We were really so happy with this stay. The price was far more reasonable per night than the Marriott or Wyndham, and we got SO much more space for our dollar. Plus a beautiful view and cozy accommodations that made for a very memorable family getaway. The furnishings and fixtures may be 15 years old or more but the space was clean and everything worked well. We will absolutely be back! THANK YOU WELLINGTON!Noteworthy details: Staff at the front desk was so friendly. We met a different staff member each time we went down there and they just couldn't have been more helpful or kind. Thank you!”

“We were at first given a room that looked out towards a building that was not super pleasing to the eye, I called down to the lobby and asked if we could possibly have a room with more of a view. They were able to do that, since it was Christmas Eve and not very busy- John was super helpful in accommodating us. The lounge/bridge area was a nice touch to each floor. The room had a modern and industrial vibe, which we liked very much; very tasteful. . One of the other things I did like was the smell of the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that is there for use as well. The only downsides for some people might be that the iron is super mini and there is no fridge, however, we made do with/without these amenities. Overall, this hotel was very clean, tasteful in decor, and the staff was great- one of our now favorite hotels by far.Walkability: It is centrally located to the wharf and shopping.Food & drinks: Located close to Thames St. And Bellevue, which have a lot of bars and restaurants.”
