Fort Adams Trust offers a great and highly recommended tour of the historic fort, described as a badass and amazing slice of history. The tour is fun, informative, and provides an awesome look into little-known historical details, with cool interior tunnels to see. Tour guides are consistently noted as extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and fabulous, enhancing the experience even on a rainy day. The site offers historical facts and nice views. While it can get chaotic and crowded during special events, it remains a very convenient and quick visit for those in Newport.
We had a private tour on a very rainy day. We got soaked, but it was well worth it. Rob, our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly and considerate. The tunnel portion was a big hit with our 8 yr old grandson.
