James was conscientious about meeting me, and it was easy to drop off and pull my backyard and garden paraphernalia in and then back out. “We reserved a 15' truck & auto transport about a month in advance. We didn't get assigned to this location until the day prior to pick up, even though we reserved so early because that's just the way their system operates. However, we did go into the office at this location 2 days prior to ensure that they would have what we reserved. We spoke with the manager, Michelle. She was awesome, she assured us that she would have the truck & auto transport & she even let us take one that she had on the lot at the time to do our empty weigh. We were doing a military DITY move & she understood that we needed an empty & full weigh and the local weigh station was going to be closed on the day of our pick up. So Michelle let us take the truck & transport to get weighed & even allowed us to drop a few empty boxes that we had purchased at our home, because they would not fit in my car. On the day of pick up the guys working helped attach the trailer & secure my car onto it. They were great. Being that we were doing a one way rental to Chesapeake, VA we are limited to a certain number of miles. We were worried about possibly going over that, so the rep that assisted us on the day of pick up gave us 50 free miles. That helped relieve some stress. The entire staff at this location made the stressful process of moving a lot less stressful! I'd recommend this location to everyone I know in need of a rental.”

“Brian and Shane have to be the best employees I have ever had the pleasure of working with! I was in a very difficult situation and penskey had my reservation for a week when it came time for me to pick up the truck they could not find my reservation and I was at the point of panic I have to remove the items from the location at 9:00 a.m. 4tomorrow morning that was the deadline! I called the U-Haul location in Newport and that's when Shane and Brian completely listened to me vent and solve my problem immediately by allowing me access to a pickup truck last minute 15 minutes before the store was closing I had an issue with the app I was able to call them back they responded with 5 minutes till the store was closing and helps me to navigate the situation I also received a text from the GM after the store was closed for almost an hour letting me know that if I run into any issues upon my arrival that he will help me Beyond his hours of operation I couldn't have asked for anything more these men are amazing and go above and beyond their job titles and responsibilities! Thanks you so much for saving my belongings my night and my sanity!!!”
