“Laurie at the reception desk when we checked in was very welcoming, the rate was fantastic and the suite was clean and perfect! We only stayed one night after a project we completed in the Bluffton area-- and if we ever return to this area we will absolutely stay here again!”

“We've been DVC members for about 10 years but we had never been to this Hilton Head resort. So we decided to give it a shot on our road trip down to Florida. We are SO glad we did! We stayed 3 nights in a deluxe studio right before Christmas. It was not busy at all. It WAS chillier than we were expecting, so we did wish we had packed more sweatshirts! But we still had a fabulous time! We rented bikes through the Disney resort and LOVED riding them to the beach! The Disney beach house was nice, and we loved that they had beach toys for our kids to borrow and use while on the beach! We also loved doing a craft each day at the community hall. And we fit in a dolphin tour through Dolphin Discoveries that was absolutely amazing!! So much fun! We'd definitely come back to this resort... maybe when it's a tad bit warmer! ;)”
“This resort is located within walking distance of Harbour Town, within Sea Pine. Getting there was a bit of a hassle, but thank goodness our concierge provided us with all the info so that we literally skipped the line. So thank you much for the heads up! The room itself needed some TLC, the paint was chipping off, there were cracks here and there, but overall, very clean. I was on the third floor with a water view. It's unfortunate for me that I couldn't take advantage of the facility more as the weather was hot and humid, raining, and thunderstorms all through the week while I was there.”

“We love the room and the location, but our issue was with handicap accessibility and amenities we were told would be available for handicap accessible needs. We booked this place after another rental wasn't workable when they said they had ramping with matting to access their private beach area. No matting, and the front desk girl said we took it up and nothing we could do. The rooms are over 800.00 a day, and if you need accessibility to walk onto the beach, they don't have it. Otherwise, the stay has been great, but as a first-time beach visitor, the rest of our week is pool bound, which sucks not to get near the water and waves. I wish the front desk and management would have said they would put the matting back out, but said it was taken back to storage due to difficulty more than likely and she apologized we wouldn't be able to get out past the wood ramp, but that the matts are hard to maintain. I would have put it out myself had they let me.”
“Great location, very convenient access to a great section of the beach. Staff was great. It was super hot out and rooms were clean, but did not get super cool. All in all a great place and I would recommend for a beach trip.”
“The fitness center is probably the best amenity of the whole resort. Plenty of equipment and room to workout. Although the ceiling of the pool is and eye sore, and according to the reviews it has been like that for years, with some kind of foamy looking insulation or something covering it. Anyway other than that, great place to workout!”
“This hotel is centrally located to various shopping and recreational activities, most prominently some elite miniature golf courses and restaurants. The staff is truly first class. Each person you see in the hallway is eager to ask about your stay, truly making you feel welcome.
The rooms are cozy and very clean. The gym is more than adequate for a trip and the free breakfast is more than sufficient to start your day. You can fork out a ton of money for other properties on the island, or you can stay here and save your money for your shopping and trip in general.”

“An upscale hotel with many amenities. Large and small outdoor pools. Beach access. Large lounge with plenty of sofas and seating. Bar and restaurant on-site. Easy check in. Parking is valet or free. Rooms are quiet and clean. Overall, a 5 star resort.”
“I literally can’t say enough good things about this place. We came to celebrate my 27th birthday and Valentine’s Day (just a few days apart), and I truly fell in love with everything about it.
From the moment we arrived, the service was next level. We were offered an upgrade due to availability and the package we booked, and ended up with a balcony - such a treat. There was also a birthday gift waiting in my room upon arrival, which immediately made the trip feel special. Throughout our stay, staff continued to wish me a happy birthday everywhere we went. Those small touches meant so much.
Valentine’s Day was just as thoughtful. I received two different roses from staff at different times during the day, which felt so sweet and unexpected. We also loved the cookie service and the nightly s’mores. It’s little experiences like that which really set this place apart.
Our room was beautiful and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Housekeeping was quick and attentive. The only small things I’d mention are that we didn’t receive the February events guide at check-in (I had to request it from the concierge), and I wish it had been included automatically. I was also secretly hoping for custom matches - being from Charleston, I always love collecting those from special stays!
As for dining and activities - River House was extraordinary. Buffalo’s was fine but not a standout. Buzz was a favorite (get the shaken espresso!). The homemade bread is insane. My boyfriend golfed May River while I went to the spa, and both experiences were fantastic. We also loved the bike rentals and exploring the property that way.
The hot tubs were a huge highlight, especially since we stayed at the Inn and this was our first visit. We splurged to stay here and it was completely worth it. I do wish it had been a bit easier to order drinks out by the hot tub and spa area, but that may have been due to the winter season. Guess we have to come back when its warm out! Oh no!!! ;)
This was my first time staying at a 5-star hotel, and it exceeded every expectation. The level of care, detail, and genuine hospitality made it feel incredibly special. So many highlights from this trip. We will absolutely be back.”
