“5 stars isn't enough to describe how amazing the service is at Seyahan! My boyfriend and I met Matthias at an outdoor Christmas market in mid-December outside the Belmond. I was simply browsing the display and Matthias was so kind and showing me all kinds of jewelry that I might like. I wanted to see a bigger selection, so he gave me his business card and said to come to the store to see what they have to offer. A few days later, I went to the store and was very impressed by the selection and prices. I have small ears, a small neck, etc, so I wasn't looking for a big jewelry piece, and I wanted something silver. Matthias took all my criteria and showed me all kinds of pieces that fit. Matthias was so kind and offered me Glühwein and gingerbread cookies while I was in the store. Matthias is so sweet and engaging in conversation with him is so wonderful. My boyfriend bought me one of their rings for Christmas. One of the designs on the ring fell off about a month later in January. In February, I sent Matthias a message on Facebook, and his response was immediate! He said he would mail me a replacement (I live in NC), and he would include a label to mail him the old ring. I got my ring within two days, and have mailed back the old one. I absolutely love this store and the service. I will definitely come here again!”

“Al and Em do amazing work! I’ve had a permanent bracelet from them for over 2 years and it still looks as great as it did on day 1! A few of my family members love my bracelet and I finally got the chance to bring them to get their own when they came into town. We had such a fun trip to their shop. They were friendly and welcoming and helped each person pick the perfect piece from them. I added a closed cuff from their collection to my wrist and it’s simple yet so chic. “Purchased a Lovely Zodiac 18k Gold 743-908 from them and they were super easy to converse and talk with. The younger salesman at the watch counter you could tell he loves his job and knows his stuff. Behind the watch counter is a wonderful repair and service gentleman. That told me how my purchased watch was running and how well. I asked even hard questions about the movement and they answered them with next to no effort. This place is a lovely place to pickout a vintage timepiece while the staff has the knowledge to repair and maintain as well. Super rare to find that without having a Jewelry store ship it out to some 3rd party. Let alone getting answers in minutes. Will come back next time I am in Charleston for vacation. Maybe next time i'll acquire a lovely Ball pocketwatch i had my eyes on hahah.”

“This is a cute small shop located in the historic Charleston City Market. I commented to my husband that it reminded me of the little Gold shops on the Ponte Vecchio in Italy. Some beautiful and high-quality gold and diamond jewelry can be found inside this tiny shop. A few friendly gals were working inside who happily answered questions and pulled items out. I purchased a silver rice bead necklace and was given a nice box and a card explaining the history of the beads and their significance to the rice trade in Charleston. A fun stop and they have some gorgeous gold and high-end items as well as more reasonably priced silver jewelry for gifts as well if you aren't looking to spend a ton of money. Definitely worth a stop if you like good jewelry while walking through.”

“This was first visit and think this is going to be where I go fine jewelry shopping from now on. You have to get buzzed in, so they are very attentive from the second you walked in! I was instantly greeted by the front door attendant who took me to a sales associate! I had an idea of what I wanted and they quickly helped me decide. “I have several pieces from the beautifully unique Southern Gates collection. My dear late FIL gifted me with the cathedral scroll pendant several years ago and it remains my go-to everyday necklace. Over a decade later I still receive frequent compliments on its beauty and uniqueness, and the piece is still shiny and looks brand new. I have since added several more of the Southern Gates pieces to my collection. We live in Ohio so I have only visited the shop once, when visiting my FIL’s home in nearby Mount Pleasant, but I remember the employees being very kind and having a nice conversation while I selected items to purchase. Online shopping is convenient and shipping is quick. Lovely place to buy sterling silver.”

“The best watchmaker in the Southeast. I brought in my Breitling SuperOcean for a long overdue service. The watch was losing a ton of time every day and the power reserve was down from its factory 42 hours to less than 12 hours. It was in bad condition. The final result is perfect timekeeping, and a fully cleaned up watch that looks great and does the Breitling name justice again.I know quite a few people who drive from Atlanta, Birmingham, and other seemingly far away places because this is the only place they’ll trust with nice mechanical/automatic pieces.”

“I loved basically every piece in this shop. It's all custom made and only a few made at once, so you know what you're getting is unique. I found a ring set that I loved and the shop was really trying to make it work on sizing (I have obnoxiously giant fingers). They went so far as to make an entirely different set and a set of the original in a larger but not large enough size (the first one I loved would not work to make larger because of the stone settings). This isn't a shop where you're spending $$$$ on each piece but you are certainly getting that kind of service. What a great combo- beautiful jewelry + outstanding service!”
