Target in downtown Charleston is a compact yet convenient shopping destination located on King Street. It offers a decent selection of essential items, making it a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. The store provides a variety of quick grab items such as groceries, gifts, and even pre-made meals, making it suitable for those in need of a quick shopping trip. However, it is noted that prices in-store can be higher than those online, prompting some customers to consider buying online and picking up in-store. Customer service experiences vary; while some employees provide excellent assistance, others have been reported as less helpful or even rude. Despite this, there are standout staff members who go above and beyond to help shoppers. The store maintains a clean and well-stocked environment, although it is predominantly a self-checkout facility. The unique location in an older building adds character to this urban Target, reminiscent of similar stores in larger cities. While the selection may not be as extensive as a Super Target, it serves the community well, providing a convenient shopping experience in the heart of downtown Charleston. Additionally, while some customers have raised concerns about the lack of public restrooms, the overall atmosphere and shopping convenience make it a recommended stop for those in the area.
The King Street target is at a really convenient location and is great for grabbing things you might need while downtown on the Peninsula. It isn’t a ginormous target but more of a quick service stye. Everyone there was really nice and we were able to find what we needed quickly.

Crazy limited. No public bathroom, which is insane. Target by name maybe, but that's about it.

small, expensive, self checkout. Like the targets that's not by the beach or island.
