“Lidl is honestly one of my favorite grocery stores, and I mean that sincerely. I usually shop at the James Island location in Goose Creek, and it’s always a great experience. Usually, my husband buys the flowers there.
What I appreciate most is how fresh everything is. You can tell they constantly check and rotate the produce. The vegetables and fruits always look fresh and well cared for — nothing feels neglected or outdated.
The bakery section is another favorite of mine. The bread and pastries are absolutely delicious, and the smell alone makes it hard to walk by without grabbing something. I also really love the variety of nutrition-focused foods. It’s easy to shop healthy here. And the European section is such a treat — I can enjoy Italian or German products without leaving town.
The rewards system is a great bonus too. It genuinely feels like they value their regular customers.
I also want to highlight the staff. They are always kind and truly on the customer’s side. One time I accidentally dropped a package of raspberries on the floor. I felt embarrassed, but the staff handled it so calmly. They reassured me that everything was okay and replaced it without any issue. I was genuinely surprised by how thoughtful and professional they were.
On average, I spend about $100 per week for a family of three — including meat, eggs, milk, and vegetables — which is a great value for the quality.
I highly recommend Lidl on James Island in Goose Creek. It’s a store I genuinely enjoy coming back to.”

“Tiny Target is a regular go-to spot for me since I work downtown. While it is not a full Target store with a large selection, it fits the bill for a decent amount of quick grab items. If I need a few grocery items for home, kid's gifts, teacher gifts, wine, coffee creamer, etc. this is a fantastic place to grab what you need quickly. I also appreciate the holiday section they maintain. I also occasionally grab the pre-made salads or frozen entrees for a quick lunch when I am limited on time. It is mostly self check-out only, which is fine. And I'll agree with the others that the employees here are less than helpful, but the store is clean and well-stocked. People complaining about the bathrooms is interesting to me -- go to Charleston Place across the street. Although truly, it is not Target's responsibility to provide public restrooms. Other stores on King Street do not provide this either.”
