“I had a fantastic experience at Tiny Tadpoles on James Island! The store is clean, organized, and full of high-quality children’s items at great prices. I was especially impressed by the clothing selection—so many nice brands in excellent condition—as well as the huge variety of shoes. They also had an impressive selection of baby gear and equipment, all of it looking very clean and well cared for.
What really stood out was the customer service. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. It’s clear they take pride in their store and genuinely care about their customers. If you’re looking for quality secondhand children’s clothing, shoes, toys, or baby equipment, Tiny Tadpoles is absolutely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back!”
“Some of the best customer service my fiancé and I have experienced, very knowledgeable, fair and super friendly! They beat the big stores by a mile! I will definitely recommend them to friends and family, if you’re looking at furniture I say go here and check them out!”
“I recently moved to this neighborhood and one day decided to peruse the shops nearby. I met the owner (I forgot her name already I’m so sorry) she was lovely and welcoming. They have a variety of branded clothes in this store + if you have the patience to comb through their sale area I definitely recommend it!”
“Found this lovely consignment shop while on vacation. This shop has so many beautiful pieces! There were pieces for every price range, including some high end name brands at affordable prices. I got this beautiful Jessica Howard dress for $20 during the after Christmas sale! I love it and can’t wait to style it! And it has pockets!”
“Patina Market is a treasure hunter’s dream! You never know what you’ll find — from homemade and upcycled pieces to vintage, antique, and brand-new gems. Every corner is full of character and creativity. It’s the perfect mix of salvage style and fresh finds, and the kind of place you can lose track of time in (in the best way). Always worth the stop!”
“I was in Charleston for a short business trip and had a few hours of free time. I walked a few retail stores on King street. Most of them were not my style so I looked up consignment stores in the area. I am so glad I stopped by Ensemble! This store rivals my favorites in San Francisco! The store is very well organized, clean and--hey--I like the scent. I tried on a lot of items and came away with 5 beautiful pieces. 2 skirts were on the expensive side ($200) but were soooooo unique and luxury brands! I love, love, love them! I also bought 3 tops that were $39-$75 and fantastic. One top even goes well with one of the skirts. For the naysayers on prices, I suggest looking up the brands online for retail prices and you will see the value you are getting with consignment shopping. Clara was great too :)”
“I came in Christmas shopping with my sister and Fred was absolutely amazing. Great customer service and helped us so much. I will definitely come back because of him!”
“Where do I start ?! This place is wonderful. They have extremely desirable mid century pieces in great condition - in my opinion, the prices are extremely fair for the rarity of the items & the area you are in!More importantly, the staff is SO kind & welcoming. I will be stopping here every time I’m in Charleston”
“Friendly staff 🙏
Lots of cool items to buy.
I tried to consign few things, but I was told it’s not quite modern (like many consignment stores did tell me as well), but I still had good experience.
Not sure what’s up with all the negative reviews. 🤷♀”
“This vintage shop in Charleston is a must-visit! You are sure to discover something you adore, or perhaps an even more perfect item will find its way to you. I adore my first authentic vintage lowboy and ~shocker~ have returned for more.
Update: the home feels more authentic. There is an impressive selection of Mid-Century Modern and various other century styles to choose from! We are truly grateful for this establishment!”
