“To all my renters if your looking to move into an amazing and beautiful place then come to the heron lakes apartment… When I said Johnathan is a great manager he will definitely go above and beyond helping u to secure a safe and luxurious home here at the heron lake … He is the overall best guy to work with … He’s very knowledgeable and there to answer any questions and concerns you may have … So with that said please call my guy Johnathan at the heron lake’s apartments I promise u will not regret it … So please head on out to the lakes and give Johnathan your time when securing a home .”

“Ovations is probably the best apartments on Columbia/Broad River/ St. Andrews area (and we all know how this area is). Beverly, who works in the office, has been so understanding and kind. She emails back promptly and takes care of any request that you have. There is a bat problem, I will not lie. However, anytime we have reached out regarding this problem, they haven taken care of it and kept us updated along the way. They have valet trash, which is a plus. I would say if you are thinking about moving over here, do it.”

“I've been here 10 months now and I love it. The staff is extremely friendly and always eager to assist the tenants. DeLexus is the maintenance person here. She is polite and makes repairs quickly. I never have to call back for anything she works on. Jackie, the property manager is patient and will answer all of your questions. And last but not least Isaiah the assistant manager/ heart of the community is always helpful. These people along with my wonderful neighbors make this place feel like home.”

“Everything at this apartment is up to my complete satisfaction. When there are repairs that need to be done, they come right out to fix them. This one bedroom apartment is the most spacious of any one bedroom apartment I have ever had. Neighbors are so friendly and nice.”

“I lived at Huntington Place for a year and would have stayed longer if my roommate situation worked out or they offered one bedrooms. While living there I stayed in a 2x2 and never had any major issues with anything. There was a time when my dishwasher wasn't working properly. Maintenance tried to fix it twice then replaced it. After that I had no more issues with the dishwasher. Another concern is that I had wasp nests on the balcony but maintenance took care of it anytime we put in a request. Frankly, maintenance always responded in a timely manner, was nice, and actually fixed whatever the issue was so nothing felt like a big inconvenience. Fantastic maintenance team! They are all super kind and made me feel really comfortable. I personally never had to deal with the leasing agents beyond move in, move out, and picking up packages. Anytime I did deal with the leasing team they were always nice. The apartments are a bit older but they are still quality apartments. All of my appliciances worked fine besides the dishwasher incident. The apartments are really spacious and have plenty of storage space. I recommend purchasing curtains as the property lights are very bright at night (maintenance will hang up your curtains for you). The price point is really good for what is offered. I have not found another apartment with a similar price point. Out of all the places I have lived in Columbia, this was by far my favorite and easiest to live in. I would recommend Huntington Place to anyone!”

“Living at granby was the most fun I’ve had in college. The apartments are beyond spacious, neighbors are extremely social, and I always knew there was plenty to do. Whether it is the volleyball courts, the pool, or basketball court there was always fun to be had. To any person thinking about living here I can not recommend it enough. Great place to live and it will greatly add to your college experience”

“I lived here for a year Oct. 2024 to Oct 2025, and it was one of the best apartment experiences I have had. Mantanience was fast, and I never had issuses with managment. I would still be living here had I not bought a house.”

“I have lived here for the past six years and am honestly heartbroken that I have to move due to a job in a different state. This place is admittedly not without its minor inconveniences (parking can be kind of horrible and like a weird system you have to game (visitor's parking is basically always overcrowded, the parking lot can be pretty full at night after a certain time, people park in areas they really shouldn't that make the entire parking lot harder to navigate safely) pet owners don't clean up after their pets all the time, when there are home games during the football season traffic in the area is horrid to the point I don't leave the apartment since it is too much of a headache, the train systems that run nearby can be a real inconvenience since they block off roads, one of the two elevators seems to always be out of commission, package room can be a bit of a headache to find your items), but the positives FAR outweigh those negatives. The maintenance team deals with issues within apartments quickly and effectively, the place is pretty quiet, the rental team is kind and helpful (big shout out to Zachary), renters primarily keep to themselves but from my experience are pretty kind, the apartments are a great size with high ceilings, etc. I wrote down all the negatives I could think of above, and everything else has been absolutely wonderful. I don't write many reviews, but as I am searching for a new apartment at the moment I realize how vital these reviews are for others looking to rent, so I wanted to leave a review for this place I've called home for the past six years and I will miss very much.”

“I want to share my experience so far as someone who has physically toured the unit and building.

Jill, the property manager, has been nothing but kind, responsive, and incredibly helpful. I’ve emailed her nonstop over the last two months with questions and concerns, and she has consistently followed through on everything she said she would do. That honesty builds trust—and for me, that matters a lot.

I originally backed out of the lease after reading some negative reviews, and the move-in balance I had already paid was fully refunded, just as Jill promised. I ended up coming back to rent the unit again after a previous condo deal fell through, and once again, the process has been smooth and professional.

Yes, the building is older (built in the 1960s) and could use some cosmetic updates. But my unit was clean and in great condition, and honestly, the positive experience with the staff far outweighs the building’s age.

To be clear, I haven’t moved in yet—I’m scheduled to in a few weeks—but based on everything so far, I have zero complaints. If anything changes after I move in, I’ll update this review. But for now, I’m very happy with how everything has been handled.

“I moved here a few months ago and I love it! The staff is super nice! They hold community events and have local food trucks come in often. It is very quiet and clean and has a very nice sized dog park for my pups to play and run around. The apartments are very spacious. I have a 2 bedroom 2 bath and I love it! So far this place gets two thumbs up from me.”

“I lived in the Hub this year and only have positive things to say! The amenities here are top tier and I love spending time at the pool or in the sauna at the gym! The staff here is also super helpful and I want to shoutout Alex for making this year at the hub so amazing!”

“This is one of the best maintained, income-based housing complexes I’ve seen around! The grounds are well kept by a friendly maintenance staff, the office staff is very helpful and attentive, and I love the fenced in area outside my patio door. Great for my little ones to play safely. Good job Carriage House!”

“Visited this place with my daughter intentionally wearing loungewear and despite what the reviews say about getting poor treatment if your not wearing designer, we were warmly greeted by Andrew and was shown the apartment by a lovely young lady Ashley and went through the application process with Michelle. All of which were friendly, professional and helpful. The apartments themselves are nicely designed, quiet and feel safe. The kitchen and rooms are a fairly decent size, the gym is well equipped with plenty of machines, the pool is well maintained and of a nice size as well. Grounds were kept clean. Priced fairly. Amongst other apartments in the immediate area, although I’m not a resident yet I’d highly recommend.”

“I just moved from out of state and it’s been hectic for me and the sweet Woman Lakshmi who works in the office has been very patient and kind. The other staff too but I love lakshmi! Work with her! As far as the apartments go. They don’t look to bad. You get what you pay for. Maintenance requests seem to get done at a timely manor ?? the location is ideal and I would recommend it.
