The Salvation Army Kroc Center Greenville is an arts, education, recreation, and worship facility that serves as a beacon of hope and a place of refuge. It is like an upscale gym and community center combined, without the pretense. The center features an amazing indoor water park for children with a very nice water slide and an amazing pool. It also has a lap pool, a fully equipped exercise room, a room for CrossFit, and offers a broad schedule of exercise classes for all ages, along with on-site childcare. The facility is lovely and well-maintained, with helpful and kind lifeguards and staff who are warm and friendly. It provides family bathrooms and shower areas, which are noted as a necessity. The center hosts adaptive play events for disabled individuals. However, some visitors did not find it completely inclusive, reporting staff judgment regarding slide use for a child with cognitive disabilities. A common negative is that there is absolutely not enough parking for the services provided. Some also wish for an additional entry into the pool beyond the steps.
