About The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is a place for those needing to escape the elements, though not a permanent solution. The first week is free, then a weekly fee applies. It provides three daily meals like oatmeal, sandwiches, and a hot dinner. There are betterment meetings twice a week. Intake occurs on specific days and times. The organization does wonderful things for the community, such as the Angel Tree program, and is considered a great organization. However, some reviews mention issues with mold, undisclosed fees, and rude staff who yelled. Some residents report being told to leave early and not receiving promised case management. Payment is made via money order.
