“I have a large dog that most are afraid of especially since she’s a bit jumpy but this clinic showed her so much love she almost didn’t want to leave. I switched vets and I had my first visit and it was amazing. I highly recommend this clinic!”

The staff, doctors and surgeons were excellent in sharing step by step procedures and truly loving my pet as much as their own. “Absolutely would recommend! The vets are very on top of it here. They helped me catch up on the vaccinations for botb my cats. I just moved here and didn't even think about a new groomer for my cat. Well I was about 2 months late on finding one on time. Luckily, Amy was willing to try grooming her with Gabapentin instead of full seduction. My girl is a little (extremely) mean, when you're trying to make her look pretty. Anyways, Amy was able to take off all of her mats and she is back to begging for pets/cuddles immediately. Thank you so much!”

“I can't express enough gratitude how amazing the entire staff at Blue Pearl was. Our sweet Chloe had to have a spay with Von Wille Brand (a blood clotting disorder). Dr. Schubmehl is fantastic, from the first consultation he answered all of my questions and was extremely thorough. I emailed him with some more questions after the visit and not once did he ever seem annoyed, and always made sure we had all of the information we needed. He called us after the surgery letting us know that everything went amazing with Chloe and explained the plan for all post-operative care. During the day we called a couple of times to check in on Chloe and every nurse that answered the phone was phenomenal, they always made sure we felt comfortable and were up to date on the care that Chloe was under throughout the night. Today Chloe is 2 weeks post-op and got a clean bill of health! We are so lucky and blessed to have been referred to Dr. Schubmehl. He truly cares for every animal like his own. Thank you so much for helping our baby girl!”

“I have had trouble in the past with feelings of guilt bringing in our reactive cat for his check up’s. Here he’s been welcomed with open arms and treated with so much patience. Even after he refused to take his medication the morning of, they still were able to sedate him & do what was needed. I appreciate a vet that has an understanding that some cats just come extra spicy. My cat Salmon (Sal) says thank you even if he didn’t say it whilst at the practice. “I highly recommend Daniel Island Animal Hospital. My senior dog, Willow, was well taken care of by Dr. Shiyou. Willow came to me and my wife later in her life, and had lacked adequate care for most of her life. Within a matter of months, Dr. Shiyou’s care transformed Willow. The sickly little dog we had adopted was full of life and personality. Her coat that was matted and patchy began to glisten. She developed her own attitude and sass. Dr. Shiyou implemented diet change and pain management to make Willow’s last year as comfortable as possible.
Dr. Shiyou never dismissed any of our concerns regarding senior health and always did a spectacular job managing her health. She thoughtfully presented all options and never pressured us to make any rash decisions. Willow absolutely adored Dr. Shiyou and made her vet visits a treat.
Willow has since moved on, but Dr. Shiyou continues to provide care and treatment for our other three pups, who are as happy and healthy as can be. My wife and I will always be grateful to Dr. Shiyou for her specialized care and attention.”

“Dr. Benton has been my vet for over 20 years. Both her and her staff are so professional, kind and accommodating. She offered extended help when my husband was going through treatment for cancer. She has seen us through 2 dogs we eventually had to put to sleep. Her love of animals and empathy for both the animals and their owners is unmatched. Now my Goldendoodle loves her too. Anyone that has asked about a vet Dr. Benton has always been our recommendation. We love the entire staff.”
“Dr. Sauls and her team have been taking care of my dog, Charlie, for about a decade. From the very beginning, Dr. Sauls has been everything you could ask for in a veterinarian—attentive, incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and compassionate.
I moved away from the Mount Pleasant area several years ago, but I continued to make the drive back to bring Charlie to Dr. Sauls because I trusted her so much and knew he was in the best possible hands.
Charlie recently passed away at 16 years old, and I truly believe his long life was due in large part to the wonderful care he received from Dr. Sauls and her team.
When it became time to plan for Charlie’s end of life, Dr. Sauls and her wonderful vet tech, Mary, were incredibly supportive, patient, and compassionate. They guided us through the process with so much kindness and made an incredibly difficult experience feel as peaceful and loving as possible.
I will always be grateful for the care they gave Charlie throughout his life and especially at the end.
I cannot recommend Dr. Sauls and her practice highly enough. If you are looking for a veterinarian who combines exceptional knowledge and competence with genuine love and compassion for animals, you’ve found it.”
