“In the vast tapestry of existence, where life's unpredictable currents can sometimes cast a shadow over our spirits, there emerges a beacon of compassion, whose warmth and generosity illuminate even the calmest of seas. Allow me to transport you to the captivating tale of Derek, the extraordinary soul stationed at the Exxon gas station, whose unwavering kindness and remarkable spirit transformed a simple encounter into an unforgettable experience.Imagine, if you will, a weary angler, his heart weighed down by disappointment and the quiet echoes of missed opportunities on the tranquil waters. Seeking solace in the comforts of an Italian sandwich, I entered the Exxon gas station, hoping for a respite from the stillness that mirrored my inner longing. And there, amidst the fluorescent lights that bathed the space in a gentle glow, stood Derek, a paragon of compassion and benevolence. With a radiant smile that extended far beyond his lips, Derek saw beyond the weariness etched upon my face. "Dear seeker of solace," he exclaimed, his voice a soothing melody amidst the tranquility, "allow me to infuse your moment of respite with a touch of culinary delight."And so, with grace and an unwavering commitment to brightening my day, Derek extended a humble offer: toasting my Italian sandwich, elevating it to new heights of gastronomic ecstasy. With hands that moved with purpose, he embarked on a culinary journey, his gestures imbued with an artist's precision and a magician's touch. As the bread gently nestled within the warm embrace of the toaster, a symphony of aromas wafted through the air, teasing the senses with promises of culinary enchantment. Moments later, my sandwich emerged, transformed into a masterpiece of golden perfection. The once modest ingredients had become a harmonious ensemble, dancing upon my taste buds with each delightful bite. But Derek's greatness extended far beyond his culinary prowess. In his presence, the atmosphere was infused with a sense of genuine care and understanding. With heartfelt words and a listening ear, he became a confidant, sharing in my stories of fishing adventures and missed catches, bridging the gap between strangers with the effortless grace of a true friend. In those fleeting moments, Derek's compassion and genuine spirit ignited a flickering flame within my heart. His kindness dissolved the barriers that often separate us, revealing a shared humanity that transcends the walls of gas stations and the ebb and flow of fishing fortunes. Through his simple act of generosity, he breathed life into the notion that even in moments of calm, the power of connection can ignite a profound sense of joy and belonging. As I bid farewell to Derek, my heart filled with gratitude and a renewed appreciation for the beauty of small gestures, I couldn't help but reflect on the remarkable impact a single act of kindness can have. Derek, The Radiant Guardian of Taste, has left an indelible mark on my being, a testament to the transformative power of compassion and the potential for connection in even the simplest of encounters.Let the world bear witness to the magnificence of Derek's spirit, for he is not just an attendant at an Exxon gas station, but a luminary of kindness, whose radiant soul shines bright amidst the calm seas of everyday life. May his compassion continue to inspire and uplift the hearts of those fortunate enough to cross his path.Bravo, Derek. Bravo.”

“Prices are crazy but the store is clean and the employees are nice. I only go there if circle K is closed. The same item will cost you at least $1.50 more at this store.”

“Best gas station I've ever been to. Clean, well stocked and always open. Coffee selection is better than some coffee shops. The overnight girl and lady who manages in the morning clearly work very hard to make this happen.”

“Great staff. Love their positive attitudes ? decent selection of craft beer and their walk in is always stocked. Also this spot has the freakin Cinnabon Rolls that make you feel like Christmas. So even if you're having a bad day you can get one of those and it's all made a bit better. ?”

“Generally have the best gas prices and the food is pretty good for a gas station but that part is a little over priced and sometimes has been sitting out for too long. Usually pretty clean for the most part”

“ReFuel is the most popular gas station in Mt. Pleasant. In fact, it has gotten a little crowded in the past couple of years. Need to open one near the IOP Connector.”

“The Blue Water/Exxon is a new and extremely nice convenience store close to 526. This store has a great selection of food, including pizza, salad, or paninis. The employees were even giving out free samples of a panini when I was in there. I've never seen a convenience store with a salad bar option before, and while I didn't try any food today, I certainly would in the future. They also sell individually wrapped cookies- sugar, chocolate chip, and a delicious lemon cookie. I got the Nitro coffee, and it was delicious and refreshing on a hot day. It's black coffee, but very foamy and rich. The coffee counter was stocked with creamer, sugar, and a few syrups for the coffee, if you want that. The Nitro coffee only comes in one size, and it's $1.88- about half of what you'd pay somewhere else. All of the workers were super nice, and the store is very clean, right by a red light, and easily accessible from Long Point Rd.”

“The food at the Charleston bird is soooooooooo delicious. My first time here .....let's just say it was one of those drunken nights in downtown chs and I needed something other than pizza to satisfy my craving and soak up alcohol before heading home. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. I'm glad I got my own sandwich and my guy ordered one for himself bc I refuse to share this with anyone! If you are someone I like and we go to the chs bird together don't expect me to share with you it's not happening! I love how it's tucked away and has plenty of parking. There are maybe two tables with fours chairs each for seating(which doesn't really matter bc if you've had too much alcohol you will either not care about sitting and stand the entire time while you eat or you will sit on the ground or sit in or on someone's car bc you are so distracted by this chicken blessing). Each time I've been here the service has been great. Make sure you leave the club early before the lights come on if you want the mashed bird or else it will be sold out by the time you get there. It happened to me once and that was the first and last time! I have had the bird with avo which is pretty awesome as well. Now trust me I've wanted to try other options on their menu but then I think about how completely delicious , crunchy, juicy and messy the mashed bird is and well...you can figure the rest out. You may need to order fries as well. I say this because you will have drippings of whatever bird you order all over your hands and mouth/chin region. I couldn't post any pictures because of my half embarrassed half messy love affair with the mashed bird. You will need something to soak up all the drippy goodness. This spot is great after a night out on the town and will definitely satisfy!”

“I usually make a stop here after visiting my in-laws. I've never had any issues and unless it's in the middle of summer, I can normally get in and out fairly quickly. The stations are frequently out of gas, but there's consistently at least two that have gas. The staff is nice enough, I don't expect much. The store seems clean, never used the bathroom, so I don't know about those.”

“Came in to get some gas and put 20 on the pump but accidentally gave them more than 20, so the cashier went out of her way to give me my change when I was getting into my vehicle .”

“This used to be one of the worst Circle K’s in the Charleston area. The new manager Britney has really turned it around. She is definitely an asset to this location and company.”

“Great place to get diesel if you have a trailer in tow tons of space. Very bad about keeping printer paper in their printers which if you need a receipt, you must go inside and stand in line while the person in front of you try's to find where winning lottery ticket.”

“Every time I come here to fill up, there is no windshield washer fluid in the bins with the squeegee. I travel a lot, so when I fill up, I need to wash my windows. I guess I’ll find a different place to fill up going forward. It’s consistent , so much do that the bins are completed dry. I go to planet fitness, which makes it very convenient, but I’ll go to a different station from now on. By the way, it has nothing to do with the temperature. It happens in the summer, spring, winter and fall.*****Went there today, fresh blue windshield cleaning fluid and new squeegee in all water buckets. Thank you. Another full tank and clean windows !!”

“Typical for a Circle K, I stopped here because they have the Amazon Pick Up Locker and I ordered something for the RV. The gas station is a distributor for BP products at the moment and they also have a Redbox outside.Inside, snacks, drinks, coolers and such. I only popped in to look around and did not use the restroom. The store is packed well and stocked. There was no trash on the floor, inside or out.”

“Lived here my whole life and I was told this place had the best fried chicken in Charleston a few years back, thought no way the best fried chicken in Charleston is coming out of a gas station but man was I wrong. This family owned gas station has great prices and confirmed best fried chicken in Charleston!”

“Okay, I love this location! Super convenient with a cut through from the OV. They always are friendly even if they are out of things or a machine (drink) is down. It's super convenient especially on a golf cart and gas prices are compatible to others in town.”

“Surprised to see this location asking me to strip ("bare"). I would think construction dust would get in some places... I guess that's just the level of education here in South Carolina!”

“I’m not sure why this place gets so many 1-2 star reviews. 7-11 is fast and convenient with a restroom and ATM. Dunkin is also fast with a drive-thru. This place also has a gas station and a mini car wash. The only reason why I’m giving it 4 stars is because I haven’t utilized their gas station yet. Also, this is a 7-11/gas station. I’m not sure why people have such high standards. In fact, the amount of amenities this place has is VERY convenient.”

“This is not your typical gas station. They have a growler station! Growlers are like 3.69 and they have at least 5 taps of local and craft beer. I'm not a beer girl, but I can appreciate the novelty. They have a huge hot food selection with chicken strips, hot wings, tater wedges, hot dogs and taquitos. They had a big display of fresh fruit and extensive selection of fountain soda including diet Mountain Dew. All super cheap. The steak and cheese taquito saved me from starvation on my drive to Georgetown.”
