“Management has always been the greatest. Its a smaller Dollar General when you compare it to others, but they are getting a remodel as we speak!I just like that feeling of being "comfortable " in this store.The Neeses Dollar General manager is so mean sprited and hateful that I regularly go out of my way NOT to get evolved in her drama. The path I saw before me with her was one of volatility.Give me North, SC Dollar General any day of the week because there is always an awesome ? personality.....keeping it real!”
“I've probably driven past this place a dozen times traveling to my in-laws. Finally decided to stop and check it out. We've said several times, "A Pig? With a restaurant? We've got to try that!" Yesterday was the day. The menu is about what you would expect for a rural country diner. Hot dogs, burgers, corn dogs, chicken salad sandwiches...the like. I had the hot dog plate. Two dogs with chili and onions and fries and a soft drink. $5.88? And it was good. Everything we had was good. Service was prompt, payment (less than $30 for a family of four?!) processed quickly, in and out in less than an hour at noon on a Saturday.Definitely seems to be a social focal point of the community. Not sure what, of any other places there are to grocery shop or eat out in the area, but this place was packed. Everyone seemed to know each other and spoke. Some even to us. It was fun to be a part of the community for a bit.The grocery store appeared well stocked. Lots of local proteins that aren't available in larger metro areas, so that's good. Prices seemed in line with what one would expect in 2023.If you're passing through, plan to stop. It will be worth your time!”
“The red headed manager is very nice and keeps the place stocked way better then the dollar general village down the road... They always seem to have everything stocked and if she or the other manager will go look in the back for you which is sweet”
“Great store and friendly staff.They always have the best prices on food and EXCELLENT sales on meat! (Where else are you going to find Ground Beef for $2.98 a pound on Family Packs.. Crab Clusters $6.98-$7.98 p/lb, Drumsticks or Thighs .98¢ etc??)I have yet to find a store with all country meats such as pork neck (smoked or fresh), pork tails, chitterlings, Hog Maws, Pig Feet, Onion Sausage, Hash, & BBQ Flavored Hash.Something else that is nice is if you want a whole box of Leg Quarters, Wings, Ribs etc they will order it for you if you give them half the money up front.Great place to shop and I hope they stay open as long as I live because I shop no where else!Thanks Bi-Rite”

“We had just driven by Edisto Grocery when the low tire air pressure lit up the instrument panel. I drove back to Edisto Grocery so I could park off the road. The ladies in the store were very helpful and friendly in helping us contact Fosters Automotive Service to get our tire repaired. Every town needs businesses with people like Edistos who are willing to help strangers in distress.”
