“5-stars for two reasons. First is Rondle's competence. He knows RAM transmissions and the challenges associated with 68RFE on the 2500's. He has experience dealing with slipping overdrive clutches and can upgrade the transmission with aftermarket system. Second. He took on my truck even though he was in the middle of moving his shop. I was in from out of town visiting my daughter and had no way to get back across the country with a failing transmission. His good nature got the best of him and at great inconvenience he took on a 4-day job. Thank you Rondle! I've now driven across country with the transmission. It is fantastic!”

“This team is amazing. I bought a used 2020 Ford Escape SE from Carvana. The 1.5L 8-speed automatic Dragon engines/transmissions are notorious for going bad. And it indeed had issues... While I didn't end up getting a new transmission put in, they still went through so many hoops to give me all my options.

“Hi, I have a 1979 AMC Jeep CJ7. I’ve owned her for 44 years. For the last three years I was overseas and placed her in storage. Upon returning some of the gaskets ,oil pan, main bearing seals, had gone bad. I called a half dozen places in the Greenville and surrounding area, no one would do the job due to age. I usually do my own work but due to health issues I can no longer work on her. A respected friend told me to go to Chans transmissions. So glad I followed his advice. They needed the vehicle a few days and they gladly agreed to keep her stored inside during the overnight stays. Cassey was great to work with, they are extremely professional keeping me informed of progress. I had found one other place in Pickens that works only on jeeps, their work failed after two days when I ultimately found Chans. I cannot communicate how happy I am with Chans work, not one drop of oil on the ground three days later!! I’ve had 4 wives and one faithful jeep. She was with me during many military transfers during a 38 year career. A sincere thank you to the owners and staff at Chans, I am sooo happy my girl is no longer bleeding. ? I will only use Chans for any future work needed. High quality work, honest, reliable, stand by their work, professional!”

“My daughter was driving home from Greenville to Durham, NC on Thursday when her car suddenly went into limp mode—it wouldn’t go above 30 mph, and several warning lights came on. After searching online, we saw possible issues ranged from the battery and alternator to the spark plugs and coils. We ended up having the car towed to the shop, where the team examined it and ran diagnostics. They provided a very detailed list of everything wrong with the vehicle after a thorough inspection. We decided to focus on the repairs necessary to get her safely back on the road, since she needed the car for work on Saturday. Throughout the process, the staff was transparent, sharing exactly what they knew without making any false promises about the car’s future reliability. I would've done these services with the dealership, but I was in some financial strain, so I needed a better price. Hemly was able to help me with this, and save me some money.
Hemly used a good brand for the parts for my brake job. The brakes are better now than they were with my factory brake parts from Honda.

“I was trying to get an idea of what it might cost to get a bad 3rd gear synchro replaced on a 2004 Acura RSX. It was grinding when shifted into 3rd. I knew this could be pricey and I was looking for help in deciding if it was worth it on such an old car that is not in great shape cosmetically. At another transmission shop nearby I was treated very rudely when asking the same question. At All Trans, Marc was very helpful and frankly spent more time than I expected explaining it to me. I concluded that it was not going to be worth the cost (no one's fault, it's just labor intensive) But the car in question is my son's and I have my own cars. I will go straight to All Trans when I need help with one of those.”

“These guys absolutely saved me from making a $10,400 mistake.

I brought in a Ford Transit for a pre-purchase inspection. On the surface, the van looked great—very clean, freshly painted, and nothing about it immediately suggested there was a serious problem.

Their inspection told a completely different story. They found heavy corrosion underneath, signs consistent with the vehicle having been submerged/water damaged, heavily corroded seat rails, a leaking brake master cylinder, an A/C refrigerant leak, and other issues that I never would have discovered on my own.

I walked away from the purchase.

Spending a couple hundred dollars on this inspection potentially saved me thousands of dollars and a huge headache. They were thorough, straightforward, and worth every penny. If you’re considering buying a used vehicle, especially one that looks almost too clean, have these guys inspect it first.
