Nurses and doctors are always friendly

Came in the evening time. There were currently no patients in the waiting area. Got waved over to the desk, the young lady asked me about my symptoms. I’d been having severe but non life threatening issues. She went to go talk to who I assume was either a doctor or one of the nurses, who proceeded to shoot a look of incredulity my way before rolling her eyes and talking to to the receptionist who came back giggling. She told me that they could see me, but the most they could do would be to refer me to the ER. I told her respectfully, because I genuinely felt this, that I didn’t want to be a bother or feel like I was wasting their time. She said that I wasn’t, but after essentially feeling like they were laughing at me/ annoyed by the fact I’d even come in at all about this, I just honestly didn’t even want to be there anymore. As someone who also works in healthcare, it was a bit jarring to have been made to feel demeaned and like a nuisance or like I was being dramatic for symptoms I was genuinely concerned about. If they really felt like my symptoms weren’t serious enough to be seen for, they could’ve found an altogether more tactful way to say it. And if that wasn’t what they were trying to convey, this location needs to work on its professionalism.

I am in the Roper Healthcare Network so I go there to get my labs done before I go see my doctor for semi annual physicals. Very convenient because they take you in starting at 7:30 am with first come first serve. Get the fasting and labs out of the way so I can drink coffee ☕.Britney is the best!!! Very nice young ladies

Went to Roper on Monday at 2:30pm after taking a fall and possibly broke my ankle. I was very sick and vomiting due to the pain. My husband went in to ask for a wheel chair to bring me in and told them I was vomiting too. They said to him it's a 2 hour wait and I would have to wait since it's first come first serve.I had been there before and thought they were great taking care of me but after that and how rude they were to my husband, we will never go back and would not recommend

Came here to get a sports physical, paid my $25 and then two weeks later I get a bill for $82. Called 3 times and was told it was for an office visit. No I told them it was a sports physical, I paid the $25 and that is all that is to be paid with a sports physical. My insurance doesn't need to ran for a sports physical. The reps in billing do not understand that. Call the location to be told I need to call the 888 number. Well they don't know what a sports physical is event though they are in billing.

Kelley was the nurse that cared for me whenever I visited. She was kind, compassionate, and patient as I explained my symptoms. She made me feel seen and heard and was very respectful. I was in and out and didn't have to wait too long. Overall a great experience with Roper Express Care!

Horrible. My wife was at an ER over the weekend. Was told by the ER doctor afterwards to follow up with her doctor and if the doctor couldn’t see her to go to ER or Urgent care follow up on Tuesday. We did that only to be met with the receptionist who told my wife she can’t be seen for labs without an order. My wife promptly replied, “I am here to see the doctor too, not just labs.” We take our seats as instructed. There are other patients in the lobby with us, near us. A staffer lady comes into the lobby, tells my wife they have a room for her but begins asking my wife private questions in the lobby. My wife told her she was there to see the doctor and why is she asking her private matters about her health in the lobby. The lady took the paperwork from my wife we had brought (paperwork from when she was in the er over the weekend). A few minutes later that woman walks back out to us with another lady (a CMA wearing a white coat because I guess she wanted to look official like a doctor although my wife is an RN), this lady says they have a room for my wife in the back but AGAIN begins asking personal medical questions, in the lobby, to my wife in front of people and telling my wife she can’t be seen. At this point my wife says everything why we are there. Now everybody in the lobby knows my wife’s business. I immediately asked the CMA why she is talking about my wife’s personal matters in the lobby and not in a room. My wife at this point is completely upset being told again, she cannot be seen for labs without an order and again my wife says she is in pain, wants to see the doctor. Now the CMA has realized the two of them screwed up. Because we say we are leaving and the CMA says no no we can take you back, come. We do not. The CMA says she will ensure we are refunded the co pay (it was) and we leave. Have filed compliance report with Roper, filed compliance report with the state as well. Next step is lawyer.

Saw a NP for a sinus infection. Took a covid and flu test, both neg. Worst visit I've ever had! Was told I have a cold. I don't have a cold, I have a history of sinus issues. She told me to come back in 10 days. Just going to go to my regular doctor. I was trying to save a trip to West Ashley, but instead just wasted an hour!!

Was told they don’t have equipment to address my problem—- all the hat would’ve been required was some Kleenex. Lord help this world with how medical car is or is not provided. I ask to see someone for depression and was told I don’t think they will see you for that by the front desk. “Do you have anything else going on “so I stated the other issue I have and was rejected on that isssue also .

I had to get some blood drawn and the woman who drew my blood was incredible! I didn't even feel the needle. She was so quick! Very good at what she does! Remainder of the staff in the lab department was very friendly and accommodating.

They treat getting an antibiotic like seeking drugs. Just stick to your PCP or limp by another day if it’s on a weekend before you drop an insane amount of money to have someone see you for 2 seconds and send you away. The last time they did this charade of sending something off for culture I was already a lot sicker before I was ever notified. This place is a scam.

I took my daughter this afternoon and the staff was very nice. Suzanne checked us in and she was helpful and friendly. The PA that took care of my daughter was also amazing. I don’t know his name but I do know he is from Alaska. Thank you for what you do.

PA Smith listened and was helpful with my problem, however the cleanliness is not up to par. I got placed in a room after getting my vitals checked and there are used/old sutures on the bed. The nurse didn’t notice and the doctor noticed and got upset once I pointed it out. Makes you wonder about other things when it comes to what’s being missed with sanitation. Also for insurance purposes, they don’t do their job to call insurance ahead for prior authorization so you end up with the bill and having to jump through all the loops to get it fixed. Also, they bill as an emergency room visit rather than urgent care which impacts some insurance payments that may be prior authorization for such services.

I really enjoy using this urgent care. For an urgent care center I think that they are appropriately staffed. We always get in and get out in a reasonable time and it is very clean and the staff is very efficient. I continually come here whenever my daughter or myself are in need of care. All in all it is a well run facility. The only reason they are not getting 5 stars is that sometimes I feel like we were rushed in and out and they did not check out everything that could be wrong. But again that is a minor complaint for a great facility.
