“We run a fleet of service vans for Sloan Appliance and downtime is the most expensive thing that can happen to us — a van in the shop means a tech not running calls. Whetzel's has been the right call every time.
Woody has been outstanding to work with. He tells me straight what needs to be done now versus what can wait, calls with a clear scope before any work starts, and doesn't pad the ticket. When I've asked them to go through a van top to bottom, they've done exactly that and it comes back running like new.
The turnaround has been quick, the pricing is fair, and the communication is what sets them apart. If you've got a fleet or just want a shop that will be honest with you about your vehicle, this is it. Highly recommend.”

“I took my truck in for repairs a few weeks ago. The mechanic assigned to my truck had an emergency and could no longer do the work. A young mechanic named Tai then took over for me. “My wipers on my 2000 Buick Lesabre would not shut off. I had to pull the fuse to drive the car when it was not raining. A real pain. I called a local GM dealer to fix it and they said we don’t fix cars that old. Really ! I found Richard's Automotive on google maps and they replaced the wiper motor. Now good as new and shut off when they should. I am glad I found this place a new home for my old Buick for repairs.”

“Mr.Bosket is not only a GodSend,but he is an exceptional mechanic and all around good Man! He repaired my car last year when I first moved to Columbia,and was able to troubleshoot and resolve the oil sensor issue that had been problematic for years! This week he fixed my car for another major issue within 36 hrs after drop off .Lickety Split and very cost effective! I told Mr.Bosket if I ever come into a sum of money from the lottery or otherwise,he would be the recipient of some just for the outstanding service,professionalism,kindness and empathy shown to us who dread seeing the engine light comes on and knowing how expensive repairs can be in these tough economic times.I salute you Sir!
Update: Im thoroughly convinced that Mr.Bosket has a ser of wings that he takes off to put on his workclothes.An Angel in disguise!On 10-13-2025,Not only did he diagnose the problem with my car( ac blower)in under a minute, but he ordered the part, repaired my car and had me out of there in less than 90 minutes! Did I mention it did not cost me my first born child ?If you do not take your vehicle to this upstanding gentleman, you are doing yourself a major disservice! I cant thank him enough!?”
