“Before I visited South Dakota, I made sure to find a local bookstore. Mitzi's was it. What a cozy space! A great selection of books, even for kids. And of course, other than books, a great bookstore should have wonderful book accessories like bookmarks, mugs, etc. and Mitzi's has that! I needed a book for my flight home and I found Country Place by Ann Petry. I am really enjoying it and I never would have discovered the author, if Mitzi's didn't exist. Also, nice service. I was complimented on my awesome opossum shirt! Highly recommend!”

“A must stop for anyone visiting or who lives in the area and has not stopped in. Love the building and originalty that you have kept. Highly suggest buying and gifts for yourself or others here. When I have $ will be purchasing and trying the huckleberry licorice. Beautiful handmade art such as paintings, furniture, decor, etc. Also beautiful puzzles and books. Child and dog friendly as well as very informative about the history of the Black Hills. Thank you to the wonderful and helpful staff as well as Mr. Hillenbrand for funding such a great place of history as well as free place to experience.”
