“We stayed here for a few days over a long weekend. Although the first night we had an issue with our room, when we spoke with the staff the next morning, they went above and beyond to make sure that the issue was resolved and that we were happy with our stay. Great service!”

“An excellent place to stay for a complete night out. The rooms are quant, cozy and private. Very clean with a long list of amenities not normally available in a bed and breakfast such as plenty of snacks, extra towels and/or many things you don’t normally think of of, but sure do appreciate as they become known. The onsite eatery serves fresh delicious food and the omelettes are off the chart. Highly recommend!”
“We stayed there the last full weekend of October 2025. I didn't know it was their last weekend for the season when I booked but it ended up being great because it was still beautiful weather and quiet. This was a belated birthday celebration for me, but also a belated anniversary celebration. I did some of the indulgences. The flowers were beautiful. I got us one of the charcuterie trays and it was delicious. My husband said that the chocolate covered strawberries were miles better than ones I have done in previous years from stores. We also enjoyed the chocolate bark. We ate the hot breakfast our first morning and it was delicious. I didn't do it the second morning since we were checking out, but I wish I would have. We stayed in the King suite with the hot tub and really enjoyed that. The bed was so comfortable. We also enjoyed the fire place and the shower. We ended up not using the indoor tub because we just showered after the hot tub. The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed visiting with the host and hostess and other people staying there at breakfast. The only thing I would change is either running our errands in Rapid the day we checked in or staying another night, so we could have a full day at Summer Creek to relax. We definitely will stay again.”

“Great hotel with a great location to good restaurants and shopping - Sams Club, Walmart, and TJ Maxx. Breakfast was great, however they were short-staffed on housekeeping. Our room was not refreshed. They provided towels, coffee, and trash pickup if you ask the front desk for the service. We recommend Minervas and Dakotahs for restaurants.”

“I stayed at the Alex Johnson for about a month and experienced consistent excellence throughout my entire stay. My room was kept spotless during my whole trip, and when I had an issue with my room, the front desk resolved the problem as soon as I brought it up.Two employees I want to give shoutouts to are Novalee and Patrick. Novalee had great recommendations for tourist spots to visit and restaurants to try around town. Patrick was able to help be resolved billing/room issues promptly and had fantastic recommendations as well.I would strongly recommend staying for sure!Walkability: Walkable to maybe great bars and restaurants near by.”

“Faucet was really loose. Shampoo, Body Wash and Conditioner rack was loose.
Comforter had a stain on it. Luckily the room had 2 queen beds so, I slept on the other bed.”
“So happy & fortunate in finding this place, we call it home for now, while me & my wife are here in town for a project.
The office people are so friendly & kind (Stacie) shes always sending tex messages to notify us bout everything. Place is secured with cameras & clean. Laundry room down stairs clean & always functioning.

“Short but lovely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rapid City, SD. Took advantage of the in house Resturant for dinner. Got upgraded to a nice larger room with a sitting area - thank you Hilton Garden Inn. Staff was friendly and helpful when checking in and out.”
“We stayed here one night in a mobility room. It was really wonderful because it gave the room that I needed to walk and able to get into the bed and rest properly. The bathroom is open spacious. The beds were fantastically comfortable continental breakfast was good. I had a young lady help me with my plate and food as I could not carry both with my cane. The staff at the front desk were so kind and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again Clean friendly just awesome all the way around.”
“Loved everything about this place. Location was great and very reasonably priced. We had the 1 bedroom suite which provided plenty of space. Full kitchen and bonus is the indoor water park that was connected to the hotel. Definitely recommend”

“Nice hotel, although our fridge didn't work. They wouldn't let us check in until 3. It was 2:30.Then I had to stand in line for 10 minutes. There were kids running up and down the hall, screaming at 10:30 at night. That woke me up. So not my favorite stay. But, it was a nice place.”

“I stayed in a two-queen bedroom for two nights. While the sound isolation isn't the best (i.e., you can easily hear what's happening outside the corridor), the guests have been mostly quiet, and I haven't had any issues with noise during my stay. The room comes with a TV and a coffee maker—no microwave or mini-fridge, but that shouldn't be an issue since there are many restaurants around the hotel. The bathroom feels spacious. I didn't use the bathtub for a full bath, but I did enjoy the very hot water from the shower.
The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Rapid City. One of the selling points of this hotel is its proximity to Mount Rushmore. I didn't visit it, but if you do, it'll be a short 30-minute drive. Other tourist attractions, such as the Journey Museum and the Museum of Geology, are within walking distance (about 20–30 minutes on foot). There is an airport shuttle, but it costs $10 one way (as of Nov 2025). When I visited, this hotel was the most affordable option in town, even cheaper than Airbnb options. If you don't need to use a full kitchen, this could be a good option if you're staying in Rapid City.”

“I loved my stay at this place. The service is phenomenal with Chastity, Steve and bartender Ari at your service. I felt beyond welcome here. As soon as I walked into the bar, Ari invited me to turn in the candle lights with a wizard wand. It really added to the experience of feeling right at home. Chastity is a wonderful person to talk to and Steve was very accommodating. The security guy, who I had failed to get a name to, was so amazing with recommendations. Everyone here really shows what hospitality means and feeling right at home in your stay. I would definitely stay here if I should be in Rapid City again.”

“I honestly cannot think of any reason to complain nor complaints. Moody, Barbara, and Walter, the three employees that I've met, are very nice and helpful. They will work with you if any issues occur and do what they can to insure a pleasant stay. My stay was very nice and comfortable and I will recommend the Rodeway Inn to everyone.”
“Not bad, we usually only do the BW Plus. Great hotel for families, with the indoor water park. Ask for a room near the reception, A/B/C wing, very large hotel. Rooms were clean. Very large parking lot”
